@@AllinOnePavitra , I have the same problem due to accident.A severe herniated disc in L5-S1 with compression and crowding of cauda equina. And severe spinal stenosis. I experienced sciatica in the left leg and sometimes on both legs. I supposed to have a surgery. I went to another doctor for second opinion. The doctor told me. That there's a chance for a surgery because it's already severe. However, there's an alternative. Two alternatives. One is A medication for one month. Two, is esteroid injection. I did the medication for one month. The doctor adviced me to do planking to strengthening my core. After a month, the disc herniation was now relaxed. However, there's still pain in my legs. The doctor advised me again to exercise my hamstring. He said that after another month I would be okay and fully heal. It's almost a month and I think that I will heal. I can walk straight now. I am 28 y/o.
I need this surgery badly but I don’t have health coverage so I can’t afford it... 😔 I have a herniated disc in my L5S1 that is pressing against my sciatic nerve and it is absolutely killing me. Have had it for 2 months now. Unbearable pain and I’ve slipped into a depression. Wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy.
Sorry to hear this. I have exactly the same, L5S1 and pain throughout my right leg, and have been floor or bed bound for the last 6 months and off work. It's been mild for years but unbearably severe the past 6 months. I'm luckily enough to be having surgery tomorrow. Send me a message and if I can donate once I'm out, I will. Try and stay positive until you get the surgery. Gabapentin and Cocodamol can make it just about bearable.
I am having the same problem in my L4L5 discs. I was diagnosed at the age of 13. Now I am 23, it is depressing. I cant walk for too long not sit or stand or even laying down. What ever I do the pain is there with me. I don't take painkillers unless the pain is unbearable. Guess I learn to live my life with pain. I wonder how life would be without a consistent pain
I have the same problem as you . I agree wouldn't wish this pain on nobody . I finally go for surgery November 4th 2019 after several years of complaining and 2 years of injections .
So sorry to hear that, i also have a herniated disc l4l5 ,the pain i m going through is extremely unbearable, i will undergo microdiscectomy next week, try pain killers, tramadol and ibuprofen, and also lyrical, tramadol is a week opioid and best pain killer ,ur pain will go away only by eating opioid pain killers,
I'm a skeptic on what this doctor is saying. He is saying there is not pain. While I'm sure every person is different and have different experiences the doctors I've spoken with say back surgery should be a last option.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm a cleaner and have met clients who described the same. I have a herniated disc and so does my Brother and Dad and none of us will get the surgery. Dad first hurt his back when he was 19 and he's 70 now, VERY active and gardens. We constantly do back exercises. I'd prefer to be off my feet for a week or two than potentially my entire life. The doctors who describe no pain with this surgery are in for some bad karma.
I had the L4,L5,S1 discs removed 7/2011. Pre-surgery- I had low back pain, and my back would give out. Post surgery- I now have sciatic pain, and low back pain! The Surgeon said the discs were too diseased and couldn't be fused. I fight to hold myself upright when the pain is at it's highest.. Since then, 2 other surgeons said that there's no surgery that can help me.. I'm screwed 😥
I prefer Neurosurgeons are best who are specialist in spine. I work in hospital as a admin staff, I deal with these cases on daily life. I had disk herniation from last 1 year, physiotherapy and medicine doesn't work in most cases. It's depends on herniated disc size. I have done MRI and revealed L4 Disc herniation. Yesterday i underwent steroid injection for the same in my spine L4 to reduce inflammation and to releif pain. Doctor recommended me some spinal physiotherapy after 2 days and it may get improved (50-50%). now I am feeling better, redicular pain is low to the right leg. If pain still persist then I need to go for surgery to remove that part of herniated disc which compressing the nerve by neurosurgeon.
use can i send you my MRI results ? kindly advice me what kind of operation do I need, this situation of mine really distracting my daily activities, when I drink pregabalin I cant function normally because I feel groggy
Sir i had L5-S1 disc bulge from last month . initial i had pain from hips down to calf but after physiotherapy my pain is gone but there is still numbness in my foot nd thigh also i cant raise my heel or walk on my toes do i need surgery or not?

I know this surgery may be necessary for scoliosis fusions, a bulging or herniated disc but it’s still a very painful surgery to undergo.
