What brushes are you using? They look interesting.

Artis Opus Series S size 1, AK flat brush size 2, for washes I use Army Painter Monster Brush and for drybrushing Citadel Drybrush Small

Everyone is using Battle Mud Wash for these guys. Is it really that good?

It's good, I haven't used anything similar from other brands so I can't compare but it serves me well
