Great calligraphy! What type of paper are you using? I just can't find anything that takes the ink good. If you could help me out, i would appreciate it.
This is a formal book hand and meant for presentation, not speed. People back in the middle ages didn't write like this for general correspondence or even court records or bank legers. They used a more cursive style that was quicker to write.
This will sound weird and creepy, but nothing turns me on more than watching calligraphy, especially gold ink on black medium, or looking at molten chocolate (and liquid Mercury). 😍
I take back what I said earlier. This is a very mice video and I enjoy watching it every time. In order to watch it in a slower pace, I will download it and slow it down and save it with another name. This way I can learn how you are drawing the letters. Thank you.
@@browntown3444 Why should I? If I couldn't do it, I wouldn't mention it. Other than the capitals, that's what x height I mostly use and quills with iron gall ink are what I exclusively write with. Largest x height I ever wrote was 1/4 inch, but I mostly stick to 1/8 inch or 3/16 ... that includes Textura Quadrata. Only thing about that hand is it reduces my speed from 14 letters per minute down to around 8 or 9, so I prefer Textura Rotunda or Carolingian. I take it you're either not a calligrapher, or a beginner.

Breathtaking! :) What exactly is that purple color 1:01? Is it a watercolor pencil? (there are displayed some) Which color and what brand? Once again beautiful work. Thank you for sharing
That's a modified Pilot Parallel pen. I think it's 6mm. They're great pens, but if you want the three lines, you have to use a rotary tool to cut grooves in the Pen's plates (nib).
Beautiful work and thank you for sharing ~ Happy Evening from here ~ Jennie ~ ( I am a cusp ~ 2 signs ) oh and fave moment ! Splashing the ink around ! haha !
Well there are always gonna be people disliking, more important is much more people are liking it :) Thank you for being one of the second ones and for watching :) #KeepWriting
Great video sorry this comment may not relate to this but it reminds me back in the 80's when my dog hardly breastfeed itz puppy almost like having a hardcone icecream during summertime always gives you brainfreeze🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is okay if it's what you like. I got directed toward these forms when I was 6 but years later I stumbled on stuff being done by Germans in the twentieth century. I lost interest in Anglo-American ornamented blackletter & began to follow Zapf, Kaech, Spemann, KOCH!, &c. Many more interesting & richly soulful variations developed in the Germanic & Scandinavian traditions. But yes, you've got some skills there. Feel free to go deeper.
@@CalligraphyMasters Yes, and few starting out will ever make that grade but if new letter scribblers want to advance they should look to the best models and techniques they can find. The lettering artist's age or generation label need not limit the path they take nor the type of master they may choose. The artist's heart & instincts should lead rather than fashion. The lettering you've shown here is perfectly okay. Had I never looked beyond the models my mother used, my forms would still look like this, which is just fine, but there are ways of adding verve to your stoke and syncopation to your spacing. This can take you to some unexpected stylings that convey MORE. The lettering here is clear, clean, and consistent. Lettering which is rich with content, that gets my attention, usually isn't entirely clear, clean, consistent, nor exactly like centuries old models straight out of a book. I'm still referring to your Blackletter which is an "Olde English"--like variation. The fussy ornamentation hobbles the writer. The rigid angles are a mite soporific. Just try some other models (if you like) is all I'm saying. Or don't. There's more to life than "Olde English".

just imagine writing letters to friends and family like this🔥
It's really hard to write small

There have been and still are plenty of videos in real time on the channel and noone is watching them, that's why
This is nice, but let's see them do this at an x-height of 1/8 inch with a quill that's been trimmed to a 1 mm nib.
Jesus lower your standards a little

Wonderful, but the speed is too fast to absorb the strokes and details. Please do not use a high speed!
You can slow down the speed of the video yourself in the settings.
