The cinematography is top notched and this mv has been brilliantly executed with such soulful music and lyrics. I'm still trying to process what's going on in this mv. It's packed with so many symbolisms and metaphors( like those tunnel scenes, dystopian look, portals, the blooming flower field at the end) Well I could be wrong but here's my interpretation. His PPE(personal protective equipment) symbolizes that there's too much of toxicity surrounding his life. Sometimes even if we meet the right person, if the time and place are not in our favor, we end up getting ourselves hurt. May be his life was filled with toxic people. Family members, friends or people in society who either envied them being together or didn't approve of their relationship. Perhaps that might have caused the rift between the two. Also, the way the opening shot is of him on barren land, symbolizes how dry, dull and weary his life has become. He doesn't stop, he keeps moving on. May be he's indeed trying to move on. But along the way, he keeps seeing them together, holding hands, walking through the fields, may be that's how he envisioned their life to be. ( 2:19 ) May be that's the bitter reality of what they've become now. ( 2:24 ) She walks alone, meaning they've parted their own ways. They are no longer together. He keeps seeing her in a hospital gown with oxygen support. This scene ( 2:32 ) makes it clear that she had been hospitalized. May be she was consumed by the toxicity and attempted suicide or may be she was suffering with some illness. The guy keeps moving on, but then he sees a portal amidst the forest ( 3:00 ), may be that's his hope or rather the last one. He tries to envision themselves together for one last time, being together once again, holding hands, and spending their time together. ( 4:09 ) May be he didn't move on after all or couldn't. He moved on only in his imaginations when in reality he's still stuck there. ( 4:17 ) He seems to be distressed, may be that's his realization that the girl didn't survive. May be the girl has already left for a better place freeing herself from the misery and torment she had suffered?

The cinematography is top notched and this mv has been brilliantly executed with such soulful music and lyrics.
I'm still trying to process what's going on in this mv.
It's packed with so many symbolisms and metaphors( like those tunnel scenes, dystopian look, portals, the blooming flower field at the end)
Well I could be wrong but here's my interpretation.
His PPE(personal protective equipment) symbolizes that there's too much of toxicity surrounding his life.
Sometimes even if we meet the right person, if the time and place are not in our favor, we end up getting ourselves hurt.
May be his life was filled with toxic people. Family members, friends or people in society who either envied them being together or didn't approve of their relationship. Perhaps that might have caused the rift between the two.
Also, the way the opening shot is of him on barren land, symbolizes how dry, dull and weary his life has become.
He doesn't stop, he keeps moving on. May be he's indeed trying to move on. But along the way, he keeps seeing them together, holding hands, walking through the fields, may be that's how he envisioned their life to be.

He keeps seeing her in a hospital gown with oxygen support. This scene ( 2:32 ) makes it clear that she had been hospitalized. May be she was consumed by the toxicity and attempted suicide or may be she was suffering with some illness.
The guy keeps moving on, but then he sees a portal amidst the forest ( 3:00 ), may be that's his hope or rather the last one. He tries to envision themselves together for one last time, being together once again, holding hands, and spending their time together.
