I think because Country Music is heavily consumed by typically right wing and conservative individuals, there's an innate bias to connect someone liking country music with that or being a bigot. And when you have people like Morgan Wallen or Zach Bryan who are some of most beloved country artists right now for example and they've partaken in politically and racially problematic behaviour, it's hard to not lump country music lovers are non-progressive people since that's typically the demographic that both consumes and partakes in it, thinks like. So weirdly enough, it can bleed into politics.

This type of dating is actually really sad. I ended up marrying a guy who was so far from my type in every single way that it's insane. He doesn't look like the type of guys I used to date, he doesn't think like them, talk like them, nothing like the people I would genuinely go for.
