Pastor Doug, I've read your book, and I've heard you give your testimony so many times in the past. Never have I seen you become emotional and it moved my heart. I've been going through a painful emotional struggle for months now. I've been an SDA for 30+ yrs but I haven't truly given myself to the work of God and when one serves not his fellow man, life lacks joy and meaning. I want to give myself fully to Christ but it's always been frightening to think about what that means. But, then I'm reminded of Jeremiah 29:11and I know that God means no harm to me, He calls me to do it for my own good and for the salvation of others. You've shown me that everyone of us can be a worker for God regardless of age, gender, physical condition or financial status, and He has a plan for each one of us. Thank you for sharing this once again! Your testimony always reminds me that God wanted you and fought hard for you! May He continue to bring many more souls to Christ through your valuable ministry!
I have a similar story and am beginning to hand out literature in my community and am learning how to be a colporteur for the conference. God is working in the lives sleeping and backslidden SDAs friend.
