Hi, I am from India. Yesterday I had a debate and I made really bad mistake. I had been struggling with it, sudenly I saw a vider from Pryanka that says "The biggest favor that you all can do for yourselvs is laugh at yourself,at situations" and I felt better now thanks to her
This is the easiest way to learn a language, i learned by reading and listening and i was able to totally understand this material, is it not my goal to achive a native accent but the fluency, im happy to see that someone address this topic, keep going!!❤

@SpaceCountry2024 Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I’m thrilled to hear that you found the information on goal setting valuable and aligned with insights from experts like Bekhterev, John Kehoe, and Louise Hay. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! 😊
Thank you for your strategy to speak like a native. I have some questions to more understand for action step? After I completed action 3 , can I read material to say the sentences to make sure it is correctly like a sound in material.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the strategy helpful. Regarding your question, yes, after completing Action Step 3, it's a great idea to read the material aloud to ensure you are pronouncing the sentences correctly, just like the sound in the material. This practice will help reinforce proper pronunciation and improve your speaking skills. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!
I really appreciate your lesson especially the way you teach ! I have one question about that you said last time, "you should choose/follow one from American or England type of English " . How can we identify the type ? for example the language you use in this channel is it American or England ?
@tamratfikru9363 Thanks for your feedback! To identify the type of English, look at spelling (e.g., "color" vs. "colour"), vocabulary (e.g., "elevator" vs. "lift"), and pronunciation. This channel uses a mix of both American and British English. Choosing one can help with consistency, but knowing both is useful. Let me know if you have more questions!
learn writing to speaking, learn speaking to listening, learn listenin to reading, Learn reading to writing. there is a loop, so you need to improve all to learn any language.
Do you mind telling me where your original dialect was developed? In the beginning of your post, I thought I was reading my own diary, as it seemed like the very same struggles I had, many of the same paths I had taken, and may of the same points of failures and successes I discovered. Depending on your age at the time you left your native country, your old speaking patterns may be so deeply ingrained that it becomes impossible to figure your way out, without direct intervention of a professional linguist. One of the most basic obstacle in overcoming accents is not knowing that you don't know how to listen. The awareness of that itself is a great milestone to get to. It requires great observation skills and a string will to develop your mind and the plethora of oral muscles that participate in fluent speech. It was quite a pleasure to find a video from someone I think I closely relate with. Thank you a mill'yun
Thank you for your thoughtful message! It’s amazing to hear that our experiences resonate with each other. My original dialect was developed , and like you, I’ve navigated the challenges of language learning and accent adaptation. You're absolutely right-awareness and the ability to listen critically are crucial steps in refining speech. It’s a journey, and I’m glad we can share it. Thank you for connecting, and I’m glad the video resonated with you!
We use an American English accent in this video. It's widely understood and common in international media, making it a great choice for learners. However, both American and British English accents are excellent options. The best one for you depends on your interests and goals. Focus on clear pronunciation and fluency first; you can explore other accents as you progress. Keep practicing!
Most learners don't need native-like English. Speaking at B2 is good enough for most jobs, except ones like a translator or English teacher. People should like you for your skills, not for being a xerox machine that speaks exactly like them. Making an error (e.g. mispronouncing something) here and there isn't a problem, unless it's a plague (e.g. every word mispronounced). It's Pareto rule in practice: 80% of effects you get with 20% of work, the remaining 20% of effect (native-like English) takes the extra 80% of work, which could be spent more productively on learning other skills.
First thank you i have two questions: Can i read the transcript? When I listened from headphones and recording my voice I can’t concentrate is it normal ? I missed the words
You're welcome! To answer your questions: Yes, you can usually read the transcript. Many videos have transcripts available in the description or subtitles, which can help you follow along. It's completely normal to find it challenging to concentrate when listening through headphones and recording your voice at the same time. It can take some practice to get used to. Try to focus on one thing at a time, like listening first and then recording, or try listening at a slower speed. Over time, your concentration and ability to multitask will improve. Keep practicing, and you'll get better at it! 😊🎧📚

Which accent do you use in this video? American English or British English? What is the best version for beginners to learn?
We use an American English accent in this video. It's widely understood and common in international media, making it a great choice for learners. However, both American and British English accents are excellent options. The best one for you depends on your interests and goals. Focus on clear pronunciation and fluency first; you can explore other accents as you progress. Keep practicing!
@@BOOKISHENGLISH874 Thanks so much. I learned a lot from your stories
Is that your real voice? If so, man you do speak English like a native. For a moment I thought your voice sounded kind of computerized.
