It has a very good price point $1500-1800 now. Sits between R8 and R6mkII. It is very fast and the only flaw after 40 minutes of filming it is overheated is not relevant for photographers or people filming shorter sequences. R8 is slower and mkII has better video endurance and a bit better Autofocus for video. The Auto Object selection for photos is also good. But the R6 is robust, fast and reliable. The sensor is very efficient so it delivers the resolution 20 MP can deliver. sure 24MP is a bit more resolving but not as much as the number indicates in most situations you will not see a difference. If you really need more resolution go for the R5 which still is quite expensive until the successor is announced/shipped.
This is a fantastic camera for photography. I don't shoot video, so can't speak to that, but for everyday photography, wildlife, landscapes that you don't need gigantic prints of, it is great. Sharp as a tack and handles high ISO very well. I noticed, looking at tests with the R6ii, that ISO performance took a hit. I would definitely recommend the R6 in 2023! Not everyone needs to make two foot by three foot prints. I do 20x30 regularly with the R6 without issue. Beautiful and detailed.
I bought the R6 when they first came out and haven't been disappointed yet. I shoot craw and love the dynamic range of the camera. I also have an R5 that I use for macro and wildlife. Both cameras are brilliant and I can't see me moving to another camera for at least another 8 years.
The R6 is not underrated, it's one of the most sold cameras ever. I love it. The low amount of MP might be a problem but luckily enough there is Lightroom AI enhance.
Thanks for this video. I was waiting to get the R8 which is out of stock here, to replace my RP. The I saw an R6 used with less than 2,000 SC for less than I was going to pay for the new R8 so picked it up. I'm so glad I did!
@@MegaJURISTE I am an A7III shooter; I like it enough that I have two. I just picked up an R6, mostly because it was too good a deal to pass up (I got it for $300). My initial impression is that the R6 has a better AF system, but other than that, the two are equal in performance. But the Sony is better built (IMO), and has a much broader range of native lenses to choose from.

The R6 was my first serious camera. Although I've since upgraded to the R5, I would not hesitate to shoot with the R6 again. It's a great camera.

Where did you find those R6ii ISO test samples? Trying to decide between buying mark 1 or mark 2.

Agree with most of your points. My only concern not covered is the colours - flat and boring. My 5D mark iii has so much better colours.

On the hunt for a second hand R6 as we speak. Great video:)
B&H were selling R6 for $1400 brand new!
yes its worth it because they released a bunch of firmware fixing all the bugs and improving the AF and tweaking other things.
I just got the R6.. I like it very much... but I dislike the Joystick and the wheel button on the back which is not as good as the buttons on the R.

I agree with you I still want this camera
Great Video and awesome Camera. 🙂👍📸
Yes it is worth it for ME the r6 II has a slower buffer and I can care less to really shoot lots of fancy video things the r6II added
R6 is great for sports and wild life too paired with Canon RF 100-500.
Nice one man, great video. Definitely the one I want! New subscriber ✌🏻
U can get Nebulas Galaxies live as far as astronomy video and that is incredible
Honest and practical recenz, nice work!
Such a perfect review :) Thank you. You have earned a subscriber in a single video.
Would you take the R6 over the A7 III? I’m not sure which one to get.
every single day R6 way better
