    I love the Prophets and Apostles. They are teaching from experience as well as by the power of the Holy Ghost. When we follow them and apply their teachings we will be blessed. I know I am happy when I follow their counsel.

    Jesus Christ is a lighthouse of love for the soul. When we each take consistent steps towards Him daily, and try to show others His light, we will have true joy, and the shadows of doubt, and selfishness will fall behind us.

    It is very good to know the importance of the Light of Christ, and the importance of the Light of Christ, It influences each of us to do what is Right, to learn to know what is good from bad, and to be one another's keeper and render charity to one another.

    An outstanding video of the highest caliber. The doctrine is clearly taught by a master teacher! I love all the visuals and subtle music - they work so well together to help 'tell' this. Thanks again Mormon Messages.

    God is the Father of your divine spirit. You are His child and you are loved infinitely by Him, no matter your attitude towards Him. I want you to know that I know that He lives and He will forever love you. I only pray that at some point in your life, you will allow His love to penetrate your heart. Please don't feel like I am patronizing you or being condescending. I know it's hard to accept the reality of something we can't see with our eyes, but I know He truly is there with all my heart.

    From my perspective, the influence of the Holy Ghost is that prompting to act. The light of Christ is the action upon that prompting that will show how we have taken to heart the teachings of Christ and seek to emulate Him in our lives. Through such a combination of actions (the Holy Ghost prompting us, the decision to act and the resulting radiating of Christ-like love from our actions), the Light of Christ is shared with others so that they can recognize and feel His love.

    The difference between the Light of Christ and the influence of the Holy Ghost is hard to explain. For me the Light of Christ is something we are all born with and feel always. The influence of the Holy Ghost is similar but more special and powerful, for it is not a reaction to do good but a prompting to know what to do, and it is ALWAYS GOOD.

    We as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints aren't saying that only people that believe in God are good, but what we are saying is much like what you are saying it is human nature to want to be good and to help others. We believe that it is in our nature because we are all children of a Heavenly Father. The decent and charitable nature that we possess is evidence to me that He lives.

    everything that is good, is coming from God... If you think about it, where did we get this knowledge to be a good person? If we have to go back all of the generations in the past have the knowledge of good and evil and with that knowledge it was passed down to us. They know God, and they believe. Of course not all of them, but most of them.

    December 2019 I was minding my own business in the kitchen trying to get a snack all of a sudden I was transported found myself in a fetal position with any large heavy cover on top of me the man who pulled the cover off was Jesus Christ it was so easy to come off and then I got hit with the light it was the most amazing moment that I've ever experienced and then he told me don't worry don't be angry don't be mad you are free my son and any transported me to the edge of the universe where he showed me how big it is and he said look at it it's not big enough to hold the love that I have for you and then you bring me into his body so I can feel what he feels so I can see what he sees the moment I received the light was the happiest I've ever been but him just giving me the light it was a billion times more happiness thank you for reading my comment God bless you Jesus loves every one of us more than you can even imagine

    I remember the song that the missionaries taught us 1972 .. A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME WITHOUT A FAMILY. that really brought joy to us even until now.. i have no regret serving missionary work and my 2 sons.. we are happy inspite of trials and deficulties we pass through for 50 years now..

    This LIGHT before sunrise is (of) ... THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. It is this light from which the LIFE OF MEN IS MADE AND IT IS THIS LIGHT THAT SEPARATES DARKNESS FROM THE DAY (Genesis 1: 3-5, Genesis 1: 14-19, John 1: 5, John 8: 12, John 12: 46, John 12: 36 / Authorised King James Version)
    ""In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men"

    Oobibun3, I can see what you mean and to an extent what you say makes sense. My thought is how were you even in that situation to help that person? The bible says that God created everyone and animals too, and that he makes the sun rise on everyone whether they are good or bad. I believe that God lets use choose to act however we want to.

  • @layo42
    @layo42 12 років тому

    yes they are different. the Holy Ghost is comforter and testifies of truth. you may feel the promptings of the spirit when receiving revelation. the light of Christ on the other hand is like a known conscience in are head. when we observe to keep the commandments be like Christ doing the right things such as service for example we receive more of his light. thus more of his influence is in use and then we have more of a since of right and wrong and the acts of it.

    The Light Of Christ is MORE than a psychological effect (a conscious) that takes place in people; it Sees & Seeks opportunities to be charitable, kind & to give service. Some peoples "Human Nature/Conscious" is to do good & others is to do ill towards others; when one believes in self & not the True God of Creation, then their "light" eventually diminishes & will ultimately become so clouded that they don't even see that they no longer care what happens to their fellow man, because there is no reason, Especially in Troubled Times. IT IS EASY to be kind, charitable & serve when your life is filled with food, clothing & home, TAKE THOSE BASIC NEEDS AWAY, then you will find IF YOU HAVE THE Light of Christ OR if you are nothing but instinct.

  • @tucuxi70
    @tucuxi70 10 років тому +1

    I do not believe that tolerance of a false belief is of God. God clearly states he cannot tolerate sin with the LEAST degree of allowance. It is a misconception to believe we must tolerate false beliefs. We must actually warn our neighbor as the scriptures tell us to do.

    Oobibun3, don't you realize that not everyone would help like you did? It is not just human nature. Have you never heard of people standing around as someone gets killed? I have heard things similar to that a few times. I know that God puts inside every one of us the Light of Christ, and if people fail to do those nice things, then it diminishes. If it were human nature, then it would not diminish, there has to be something else.

    The Holy Ghost is a revelator, testifier, and purifier in that it: 1. Reveals gospel and eternal principles. It is known to reveal the "truth" of all things. 2. Testifies of the reality of the existence of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Gospel Plan. 3. Purifies our spirits of sin and evilness as we submit to the will of father and repent of our transgressions.

    I don't believe in God and he doesn't guide my life in any way. You don't need Christ or God to make you a good (or better) person. I just helped a man in a car wreck right in front of my house yesterday, and God had nothing to do with my decision. It's human nature to help one another, just like it's an animals nature to help those of the same kind. Sorry to crash this video's meaning, but it's just my thought.

    • @nathanbanks2935
      @nathanbanks2935 2 роки тому +1

      I agree with you that you can do good things as a person, even if you don't have a close relationship with a loving Father in Heaven. I've been through times in my life where I haven't been close to God, but over the years, when I've chosen to follow Christ, and believe in him, I've felt a huge difference in the way I see God, and the way I see others. Because I know that God lives, and loves each of us with his whole soul, I also know that we are all precious to him, and are brothers and sisters. He doesn't just teach us to help someone, he teaches us to even love our enemies, and to pray for them. He doesn't just teach us to help someone that is filled with sorrow, and loss, but he teaches us to go the extra mile, and that we should teach them that God loves them, and that we can be with him and our families forever. Life on earth in all it's complexities, forms and beautiful unique attributes couldn't have been a result of some cosmic accident somewhere in the universe. His devine finger prints are everywhere, and testify not only of his love for each of us, but also that he wants us to show him we love him, by serving him and others a little more each day.
