wonderful Brasilian song, talk about the situation off slaves in the Navi goin to Brasil from África. But is a sad song. Te "batuque" at moment, no is for happiness, but is for marc the moment less wild in the sea when the slaves put rowing in the water.
There is no crowned lion, no green meadow, even the sky is different, there are no musics, no elephant.
Absolutely wrong. Yes, the song is about African-Brazilian culture, but "Crowned Lion", "Elephant" and so on that the song refers to, are groups of Maracatu - a popular dance, rythm and ritual originated in Pernambuco. The song remembers them and emphasize their importance to our culture.
