I live with my parents and for my parents birthdays and mothers and fathersday, I always remind her. It's easy to forget if you aren't living with them and she would have forgotten a few times already to send her wishes. My parents are really happy about her remembering and she is happy about the reminder :) (they don't know, and I think it's ok to not tell in this circumstance)
