The scenery was so beautiful! And the town seemed so quiet and peaceful. So nice. Great job filming all the footage too, btw. You guys keep getting better and better!
Nice video. I got to see a little bit of Michigan last month when I picked up my new van in Detroit! I needed to stay in one spot for a while, as my poor feet had swollen from driving to Michigan from Oregon in four days. I spent a couple of lovely days, right on the lake at Round Lake campground, resting with my feet up and going on several short hikes a day to restore proper circular to my tootsies. I did want to explore the UP, but I have a bit of a bridge phobia, and crossing the Mackinac would have freaked me out. Someone suggested I do such bridges at night. I think the dark would help. Well, anyway, thanks for a gorgeous video! 😊
@@lindasteller there is a couple of ways you can avoid the Mackinac Bridge. They do a driver service where they have a bridge worker drive you across if you ask. The other way is take a ferry ride to Mackinac Island and then a ferry to St Ignace but that only leaves your car back in Mackinaw City and you would have to do a St Ignace to Mackinac Island then to Mackinaw City round trip back to get your car again
I don't like that bridge, even though it's beautiful, it gives me the Willie's. Ever since the car went over the railing, and no one witnessed it she wasn't reported missing as soon as possible.
One my favorite places in Michigan. Loads of thimbleberries up there but you are way too late this time of year. And yes, they do kind of resemble raspberries.
Did you think about going to Fort Wilkins Historical State Park? That is definitely a great place to go in Copper Harbor. Hopefully you also remembered to visit the JamPot on your way to Marquette. Brockway Mountain is so pretty at peak Fall colors and US-41 between Delaware Mine to Copper Harbor is a beautiful curvy drive to enjoy. Fall Colors around every corner. Also Lac La Belle, Mount Bohemia and the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge are also great spots. Houghton and Hancock and McLain State Park are alao great places to go to.
Missed Copper Harbor this year. It’s usually an annual motorcycle weekend for me. Too much work and too much life. Glad to see the Monks still cranking out.
Wow, didn't know you guy's bought a trailer as I have not checked up on you two in a while! We also got a pull behind last summer. I thought I heard our Ram truck breath a sigh of relief when we took our camper off his back!! Good job on the video as always guys!
I've lived on the shores of Superior for 30 years and I can count on one hand the number of times I've swam in it, and certainly never in the fall. Lol.
Alright alright alright yet another most excellent and “large” video of a beautiful area! Your videos are so inspiring and I can’t wait to see some of your locations in person one day! Did you make it back to the monk shop before you left town? As always, stay safe out there…..
Thanks Mike! There are some truly beautiful areas in this country. And I feel like we’ve hardly seen any of them! We didn’t make it back to the shop, ended up leaving a different route. Next time!
Thanks for making the trip and sharing Copper Harbor. What were the dates of this trip? The video dropped "2 weeks ago" but I am guessing that you were at Copper Harbor in late September. We were at the Porcupine Mtns the last weekend in Sept and the colors were JUST about turning (sad - normal years, it should've been peak color). There was hardly any color in this video - so just curious.
It got cooler down with lows in the lower 40’s in KY highs in the lower 70’s. Next week highs in the 60’s. We are going with 😅Chili! And Chili Mac! Gotta have peanut butter sandwiches to dip in both!

I wouldn't live anywhere else. I'm glad you went to Copper Harbor. Even when it's busy, you feel secluded.
Michigan is a very beautiful state. Love the scenery 😍 👌 💕 ❤️ 💙 ♥️.
One of our favorite states by far!
Swimming in Lake Superior in October... Thats brave.
Great scenery, Great photography, Your channel is very enjoyable! Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on the new van, there are tons of wonderful spots to explore in Michigan if you ever make it back!

The truck definitely likes the lightweight trailer! Glad you’re enjoying the videos still!
Wow that was a fun time. The views were beautiful. See you next time.❤
Yes it was! Thanks for watching
We just love your videos, beautiful scenery warm wholesome feeling with the camp soup of the day. Big winner 🥇 ❤👍
Thanks for watching!
You are so lucky to be able to travel and go back to a beautiful cabin in the remote woods ❤
We truly are!
I'm so jealous just watching. We're heading to the UP fie hiking in about 2 weeks. So excited. We miss it up there.
@@catherinepickett-km4iv hopefully fall colors will still be on the trees in the U.P. The fall colors are amazing up there.
Such a wonderful area!
Great video love watching you guys !
Thanks so much!
Don't forget to go see the bears up at the dump 🤭👍
Great videos! Thanks for sharing!
One of the best dives I have ever seen!!!
😂 ill keep working on it
Mountain biked and camped there in the fall it was sweet, then we went to Mackinac Island
Sounds like a great trip!
Oh man you should have gone to the monk bakery. It’s epic
I was bummed it was closed! But the area was pretty tight to swing the trailer into. Next time!
Next time you’re there, be sure to go past Copper Harbor to see High Rock Bay and the rock range! Especially if you’re renting a SXS.
We’ll check it out next time!

Wow! We love the water, but its definitely colder!

Born and raised in MiI. Go anywhere in state for spot for fun.

Beautiful 😊
It sure was!
Maybe do a chili instead of a soup as the weather turns cooler. It still has a summer time feel.
Already made one of those too!
Good video guys.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing that great footage. No apple orchards around to pick from? Good night from FL. I can hear the wind gusts outside.
Thanks for watching! We hope the winds weren’t too strong near you!
Did y’all go to Fort Wilkins at Copper Harbor?
We love fall camping
It sure is the best!
Me too, because fewer bugs. Especially mosquitoes.
Do you have a regular job - remote
Barkley not a fan of cold plunges?
He actually loves them! We just didn’t want a wet pup for the long drive
Are you still happy with your choice of towable vs van, class B+, class c
We’re loving it so far! We’ll make a video comparing our thoughts at some point in the future
What year is your camper? I would like to get one exactly like it.
Ok I subscribed to your channel. Will you answer now please?
Don't forget Hunters Point
What breed is Barkly? Hes adorable!
He’s a mix, they say long haired chihuahua miniature pinscher but we’re not entirely sure
Did you really have to repeat Amelia’s Olympic quality dive in slo-mo?
Just asking! 😊
It was a mutual laugh!
Would love to meet you guys
I’m near Marquette free camping
I was glad to turn that 69 likes to 70 😊Tee Hee! The video was great! Thanks for sharing!
