I have this fork coming to me in a few days and find this information very helpful. Also...I now know why I get glared at by pedestrians when riding at the local neighborhood park. Be an ambassador for us and save the speed for the single track PLEASE. Thanks for the video.

I finally figured how to tune this fork for my riding. I had to dial the low speed compression to the middle which is 8 clicks from open vs 4. I tune the amount of travel that I use by the ramp up chamber. Baseline settings is 190 psi. I am at 250psi and it feels dialed. The compression dampening is so firm in this fork that by dialing back the compression even by a little bit brings back the supple feeling and the air in the ramp up deals with bottom out resistance. I will make a video on this after my trip to thunder mountain with the bike this weekend.
I wasn't in love with fork till I figured out how to dial this thing in.

What components are you using for the rest of the bike, frame, 29 front & rear? I have a Chinese carbon xc frame I'm upgrading, looking at ohlins

@@SayNoToWW3 I have a nice compliant steel frame with compliant berd spokes with compliant carbon wheels. If you have a xc bike, you should get the ohlins xc fork. This thing doesn't do low enough in travel to work with an xc frame.

I just grabbed this fork and a very curious how it’ll handle a heavy rider. I’ll be moving up from a rock shox recon to the Öhlins.

What a big difference. Low speed compression affects harshness more than any other setting. Another tip is to set the air pressure on the ramp up chamber to max at 230psi. You need to set that first before setting air in the main chamber. The air chart is actually pretty accurate for the rider weight for the main chamber.

@@s14tat I got in touch with Ohlins and max is 280 in both chambers.

@@drkslider1182 that is good news then. The sticker on my fork said 230 psi max on the ramp up but the manual says 250psi so I just wanted to be safe. If you can run 280, I would because I was running 250 before I saw the sticker on the leg.

@@s14tat my manual didn’t say anything for max psi, just psi to rider weight. I seen a video of someone using different psi other than the doubled psi for the ramp up over main chamber, like 200/260 psi.

@@drkslider1182 I did the double rule and it wasn't enough.i am running 90 psi in the main and was running 250 psi, now running 230 psi
