Its nice to see actually achieveable and inexpensive things that can make a difference to a kitchen - I can't say I'll ever be brave enough to sand my counters, but apart from that it's all possible and not insane!

This is INCREDIBLE!!!! My jaw dropped at the final before and after! I would do the whole house with this look!!
So a fun thing my family did together was flipping the cabinets. The original front of the door was a very dated look but the inside was a straight edged shaker style look. So we just flipped the doors, filled the holes, and painted them and it made the kitchen look so much more modern and clean. And it was cheap because we didn’t have to buy new cabinet doors. So if your cabinets have that on the inside, I definitely recommend.

When she was holding up that backsplash it looked WAY too cool toned. Between the countertop and wall color I did NOT think it would work well..... then MR. KATE GOES AND GEL STAINS THE COUNTERTOP AND ADDS WARM UNDER CABINET LIGHTING AND *BOOM*... everything is cohesive!

Quartz counter tops are so nice. Just leave them and design around them? I feel like messing with the surface messes with their quality. I'd be terrified. That said, I admit it looks amazing so good on you for being bold and experimenting to show us the possibilities. Love your content

I think they said under $400. I'd like to see it itemized too. They really did a lot - faucet, lighting, knobs, back splash stickers, table, mirror, paint.

We did a texture change to our existing shinny countertops by spraying a clear matte finish paint over them. If the style changes again any time soon we can easily remove the clear texture to reveal the shinny one underneath.
I wasn't sure about some of the ideas in the beginning, but WOW! The kitchen is beautiful!

Watching you cut and spray paint the metal mesh cabinet inserts and my first thought was y'all need a workshop BUT WAIT! Also leathered countertops are amazing. I had a black leathered granite countertop in a house I renovated and I LOVED it. I miss it. I sold that house with my ex. We bought another. And then we divorced and sold it and now I own a condo. First place on my own. Love making it 100% my own.

My mom transformed our hideous cabinets by sanding them, staining them a nice dark brown, using yard sticks with the same stain around the borders of the cabinets, and replacing the handles. It looks SO good
We named our puppy Moon after your Moon, because they both have beautiful blue eyes and are the cutest things alive! **Quick Edit** It was our kiddo's choice, because they watch your videos with me and absolutely love your son... but duh! who doesn't love that kid?

Most everything is a HUGE improvement and looks beautiful. On the fence about the metal on the fridge, but good to know about that product for garages.
