I just finished a month-long trip to China. I went to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Lanzhou, Urumqi, Lijiang and other cities. I saw super modern, clean and well organized megacities. I also saw beautiful grasslands, forests, snow-capped mountains, lakes, deserts and canyons like fairy tales. I have to say that this trip was really great. China's infrastructure is first-class, the scenery is first-class, and public transportation (especially high-speed rail) is top-notch. The food is delicious and the people are friendly. In a month, I didn't see homeless people, drug addicts and alcoholics. Although there are often vendors in scenic spots selling us overpriced and useless products, it's harmless. The level of public safety in the city is top-notch. Because of the time difference, we couldn't sleep at night, so we often explored the city at midnight. Unexpectedly, many shops on the street were still open at midnight, and single young women wearing cool clothes walking on the street at night were everywhere. I must praise China's public transportation and safety. Fast, clean and punctual public transportation really made our trip very calm and very convenient to go anywhere. The safe environment made our trip without anxiety about danger. China is so huge that one month is not enough for us to explore it in depth. My wife and I will definitely visit again in the future.
What do you expect when all the druggies, impoverished and alcoholics are hidden away from the people. China is miles ahead of us easily, it's been an open economy since 1976 and has had a straightforward, no nonsense government that works for the people, until now, our government was to busy squabbling on some dumb topic or the other though in the last 10 years, Modi has shut off a lot of the BS and pumped life into the economy, India is even being talked about like this because of Modi though he also has his flaws. Some plans are poorly executed like demonetization or Ram Mandir, the un needed religious hoobla and refusal to accept Islam, India is a secular state where people regardless of religion can live, not be persecuted.

Remember, we don't even want to rule Koreans or Vietnamese, like we completely withdrew our troops after the Korean War and Vietnam War, The United States still maintains a large military presence in South Korea not us, so why do we want to rule non-Confucian, non-Mongoloid race? South Asians and East Asians are very different racially and culturall, there will be very serious conflict if we rule them even with good intention, Moreover, it took the CCP 40 years to completely eliminate extreme poverty in China. China made a conscious and concerted effort to raise 800 million people out of poverty. That is one of the major reasons for its successful development over the past few decades.
India, on the other hand, will never catch up with China, let alone keep pace with China, as long as the Indian caste system remains in place. The investment that is “leaving” China is actually the same Chinese companies opening factories in other countries or in other poorer places inside china …
uhhh, no? The investment that is leaving China is mostly foreign, especially finance firms, because the government told them they're not allowed to review data other than what the government hands them before approving loans to the government. There's also firms that have lost the guarantee of being able to be open when the current lease runs out as foreign retaliatory tarrifs and shutdowns become more common.
I'm sure some Chinese companies are leaving too because they see the bubble bursting but no, China is not some secret paradise we're all being misled about. Its an authoritarian irrational cult of personality that can and will declare companies persona non grata whenever they feel like it.
The success of a country depends on the willingness of individuals to work hard. During 2-3 years (GYES) the allowance is very low but mothers can still stay at home.
Hasn't helped their birth rate tho, which is what that policy was enacted for. It spiked initially as people who'd been putting off having kids finally did so, but after that it's just come back down and continued to decline. In other words, it didn't convince people to have more kids. At this point it's just a financial burden for the govt. to continue with it.

As an African watching from afar, i have never visited both countries but what i can deduce from this comparison is that India is being swayed by the phony praises it is getting from the West thinking that it was a liberal democracy and a role model in Asia as per as the so called democracy is concerned. But its deep rooted Hindu nationalism and caste system is being downplayed by the West and Indian leadership thinks as long as the west is ignoring this problems every thing is okayed. Indian general elections are no different from African elections of coercion, fear, intimidation and corruption. The Chinese on the other hand are being demonized by the same West that the CWP is hindering freedom of expression and the people are in bondage, wether the west likes it or not the Chinese doesnt need any democratic lecture because this is a nation of more than 6000 years civilization and it has to follow its own model that's fit its aspirations and it is working to the chagrin of the west. When PM Modi came to power in 2014, he looked very promising and we had hoped that he would be different than other politicians. Instead he was worst of all the PMs India ever had.

One of the many reasons
@@twilight6460 it's the originator of all other factors, free markets and lesser bureaucracy is the only way to grow a country's economy, the other perks and privileges like lower crīme rates, lesser corruption follow. Can usa compete with china ? Did england competed with usa !! Wtf economics is not zero sum game 😂
Agreed. This use of 'compete' is overwrought in discourse.
Well, sorry to enlighten you, but in some areas, the economy is basically that, a zero sum game!
Don't believe me?
For example look at trade, import vs. export:
You can only export so much as others import from you, that's exactly why some complain over countries with a high trade surplus. Because if your own country is basically "forced" to import a bigger amount of goods (or a bigger amount of more expensive goods) than it's exporting, it's very likely that the financial budget of said country might be inbalanced, aka getting into debt (it's a tad more complicated because it also depends on the strength of the involved currencies in the exchange and also how much the government is spending on other parts in the budget, like social security, health, infrastructure etc.).
But yeah, depending on the amount of inflation/deflation and the growth of the country the amount of money a country has got can increase, decrease or stagnate.
Real economic growth is more less only accesible if the companies in your country get more efficient in prodution or services by either cutting cost (energy, ressources) or increasing the amount of work one employee can do in his/her time at work, a bigger market share or something else is no real growth as it might be just temporary (it's also in detriment to the competing company, aka a zero sum game)
With the tension between the two countries it is somewhat relevant
Whatever tf that means! The video is spot on. But yeah, keep the copium flowing! 🤣

India is a HIGHLY CENTRALISED country.
Why bother with anything when you are already told you are a Superpower.
Because China is an export oriented economy, whereas India is a services based economy.
The good thing about export oriented economies is they can provide jobs to large swaths of people, whereas IT services only creates jobs for the educated upper class.
And in order for you to have a strong export economy, you need to have infrastructure to get your products to port to be exported.
Because China has a strong central government, they can build roads, infrastructure, ports, electric grids, power plants, sewage systems with very little impediment. India has too many different parties to appease at the federal and local lvl before they start building due to its democratic system.
With good infrastructure and a large willing labour force, foreign investors and local entrepreneurs were more willing to set up factories in China.
This partially explains why India's economy has lagged China's.
what about pending jobs in railways, in police, in a lot of government departments...
they lack employees but so governments across India don't want to pay such amount of money to employees and train derails...
It is true that China's global export trade volume is large, but it is easy to give people the illusion that China's economy is mainly dependent on exports. In fact, the total amount of China's imports and exports currently accounts for only about 18% of China's economy.
Only excuses based on ignorance. It's not hard to understand why India is behind China or can never beat China or anyone. When you don't understand your rival or competitors, you can never beat them. They don't even understand themselves so how can they improve themselves. It's the worst of both sides
Service oriented as in selling fake windows is patches preyin on senior citizens … lol
India is mainly a service provider on a Global stage, So Many accounting firms out source the work to India, But That put India in direct competition with the US as they are the number 1 service provider in the world. India is also the only country That can produce patented drug without having any patents which China can no longer Do after joining the WTO, That is why Medicine is really cheap in India. India exported about 300b USD worth of agriculture products mostly to China. India then use the money to buy cheap oil from Russia, refining them and sell them with doubled price to EU.

India has a richer history, greater historical wealth and a great amount of soft power for millennia versus Britain. We didn’t need to travel the globe and loot hundreds of nations , enslave them in order to become wealthy.
There are plenty of negatives to report about India, but there is enough positive news as well. India’s renewable growth path, India’s increasing contribution to world trade(yes it’s small but it is growing). And a lot of western media forget India’s greatest export. Indian citizens, whom they need for maintaining their falling population numbers and to help support their tax systems and social nets for their aging populations.
One true negative of the Indian system is the failure of the judiciary and policing.
Perhaps we can explore why western society is falling behind Asian societies or rather will be eclipsed by various Asian countries in a future video instead of bashing a nation that is trying to seek its own role in the world, without invading any other country in hundreds of years.
