Honestly, spring training should be streamed all day. Players doing drills, taking bp, working with pitching coaches. I'd have it in the background playing all day.
"the backwards move is the first step to the exchange, not the last step to the catch" Just incredible advice all in one statement, this alone can help so many young infielders with their fundamentals.
Been listening to Kai for a few years now and he just keeps getting better and better! So pumped for his rise through the ranks. The guy knows his stuff!!
This is so dope. Really appreciate the content y'all been putting out, please keep it up! Looks like Kai is an outstanding communicator and infield coach.
This must be so awesome for Kean as he gets to work with a coach he's been with since he was young. Both of them Hilo boys representing in the Bay Area
These videos are priceless in the amount of knowledge & different ways of thinking when it comes to fielding, time , space, trajectory, etc young players need to take these vids and study. 10 mins of consistent drilling these aspects will make better ball players
Such a fantastic resource: Best quote: "The backwards move is the FIRST STEP of the exchange, not the step of the catch." 2:17. Once infielders get that into their head it totally changes their approach.
I appreciate the art of fielding a groundball. As a youth baseball instructor, it’s rare to see angles introduced as if kids won’t grasp it. Just get in front of the ball they say. We should be focused on getting the kids to understand concepts like angles, glove/hand positioning, fielding zone. If they get that at a young age, that will lead to cleaner and more competitive games.
Very good , as a 13 year old I remember watching videos of tony Gwynn teaching how to hit and field and this is just as great , and I’m a die hard dodger fan
I think it be a good idea to setup a channel where you constantly put up baseball clinics for all ages. You can put the video up and follow it whenever you like, like keep repeating it. This video greatly improved my in fielding, i also had to go out on the field more often to get a feel for it.
10:45 I've had infield coaches swing that fungo in front of the base hard lol. Those ankles better get out of the way or it'll be more than just a poke
Freddy Torres ... the content is good if you know what the coach is taking about, but I wanted to see the guys performing the drills and the camera was aiming at the coach talking the whole time... may as well listen to a podcast!
So on that last drill, who thinks these guys are adjusting the ball to a 4 seam grip that fast? Can't be happening that quickly, or maybe I can't fathom it.
I honestly think this is bullshit and the players are just not putting a bad face for the coach. I really don't think anything is better than actual experience. Once you get an actual bullet grounder to you there's no 1 or 2 or 2 mixed with 1. success is completely reliant on repetition of that same type of grounder
REPENT and be BORN AGAIN believing on Messiah Lord Jesus, nothing more important, today is the day of salvation and Jesus can show you the truth, its not blind faith you can see it for yourself if you truly seek like promised. John 3:3 unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God / Luke 13:3 unless you repent, you will all likewise perish ⚠️❤️⚠️❤️
I forget what vid some dope argues with me about errors. Giants are still LAST in the entire MLB....Come on bro....the WORST in the entire MLB. I am not sure the islands are where players come from...University of Puget Sound is not where Gold Glover players are generated and coached from. Let's get real.

Tony Compaglia I would pay
@@pratt17648 Me too!
I agree, hope somebody is listening.
Just pure baseball content. No commentators.
Definitely.
“Slater bro you went to Stanford that’s like 60 degrees.”
OMG LMAO
This video alone taught me more than any coaches that have in HS smh
Your high school coach might not have the time to give one on one instruction.
@@jaydawn2899 lmao
Johnson Boolin fr tho my coach is an ex minor leaguer so he fire
"the backwards move is the first step to the exchange, not the last step to the catch"

absolutely, i thought the exact same thing as soon as he said it. Great stuff
I replied that four times to burn it into my head.
Please please please...more of this type of content!!
Yes...this is premium content! Cool to see the guys working out. Let's Go Giants!
Been listening to Kai for a few years now and he just keeps getting better and better! So pumped for his rise through the ranks. The guy knows his stuff!!
Kai Correa, Once a Logger Always a Logger!! Roll 'em!!

Slater the super utility !
The Giants literally have the best youtube content out of all of the mlb
Dodger fan here…this is outstanding. Kai communicates well, has great insights, and makes the routine drill interesting.
Ron Washington working with Albies another great watch. Agree that I could watch these all day.
Great video SF Giants! 💪⚾️
Ok
You make great vids too
@@phaecneom1984 Thank you 🙏🏻
@@YouGoPro Do you carry that pliable glove they are using?
@@coachmurphybaseball8901 I have many of the white training gloves on my site, yes. Check em out. You may be speaking of the “4 Finger KK”.
I can't wait for this season!!
This is the best stuff - I can watch this all day long perfecting your craft - much respect for you guys - go Giants!
What a great teacher. Youngest bench coach in mlb history for a reason

These type of videos are the best
This is so sick! Please do an outfield one, that would be awesome, thanks.
Very good video... maybe do a weekly series on different positions very informative
Thank you so much for making this training available to the public. I’m grateful!!!!
Very good , as a 13 year old I remember watching videos of tony Gwynn teaching how to hit and field and this is just as great , and I’m a die hard dodger fan
Die hard Giants fan but you would be an idiot to not listen to the coaches in LA. There is a great reason they're there.
Whats the name of the training glove in the beginning?
Yankee fan here fantastic job on the content giants
That is the definition of fun. Imagine being a coach having access to the best baseball athletes to share your elite knowledge. Best of times.
Kai Correa is a Freaking SAVANT !!! This is the coaches clinic I want to go to !! More videos please !!!!
Please do more like these vids. thank you so much Giants!!! I miss SF!!!!
This helped me as a freshman baseball player that’s the great thing about major league coaches
Excellent !!!! I will use this with my 11u team.
Imagine being one of the 6 people disliking this video🤦🏽♂️ great drills from a great coach! Happy to see you get here coach correa

Do a out fielder thing
Where did you get those mini gloves?
Great instructional video
What is the brand / model of the modified pancake glove? We have the foam, but I like the idea of having one that is squeezable
Awesome coaching! Kai has manager potential
This is gold!!!!!!
Keep posting!
Nickyyyyyy i see you brother. Blessings pai...
Where can I get the glove they used in the first drill?
Check my site. The glove is called a 4 Finger KK 👊😉
Great content, keep it coming!
Where can I find that specific modified training glove?
Can't tell for sure, but looks like this valletraininggloves.com/product/eagle-kk/

God I love this
does anyone know what small glove they are using?
Looks like the one we use Valle eagle 4 or 88.
They are using the Eagle 975S and Eagle KK models
Freaking awesome! Hawaiian guys best fielders 😁🌺
How to rank dead last in fielding by Kapler and flunkies.
Make vidoe about chadwick tromp
Can someone tell me where can I order a mini training glove
Yea Slader. You should know your angles!🤣🤣
Man poor Slater gettin drilled here 😂😂
This is great, but I'm waiting for the Astros video on how to steal signs. That's a proven method for a World Series Championship.
cry more
Woah! Slow down there chief. Great drills but Kai needs to take his time breaking each drill down and having the fellas take clean reps.
Even though they're going to be garbage for a couple of years, I'm excited for their future.
The camaramen should focus more on the players
Freddy Torres ... the content is good if you know what the coach is taking about, but I wanted to see the guys performing the drills and the camera was aiming at the coach talking the whole time... may as well listen to a podcast!
Where can you get "pancakes" like that?
valletraininggloves.com/product/eagle-kk/ Not too sure but these look like them
Not only does kai look like carlos correa, but he also talks like correa, so that makes me think he is his brother
Next video: How to train like a big league catcher
🔥👌
Those dislikes are Giants haterz.
Slater is catching them in the web of his glove to much his transition is going to be long.
So on that last drill, who thinks these guys are adjusting the ball to a 4 seam grip that fast?
Can't be happening that quickly, or maybe I can't fathom it.
It's hard to tell, but watching it at .25x speed, it looks like they are
"The backwards move is the first step to the exchange, not the last step of the catch". That's gold.
How come Slater is not wearing a hat!?
show the damn ball in the camera shot!!!!!
Slater looks uncomfortable during the first two drills.
I honestly think this is bullshit and the players are just not putting a bad face for the coach. I really don't think anything is better than actual experience. Your right, you obviously know more than a big league coach.
Why does he call him Slater? It seems kind of odd to me
Never had a coach call you by your last name? Seems pretty normal
He doesn't like his other nickname - Kinney.
Last names are used as nicknames in baseball
It’s his last name! Lmao. Guess you never played baseball. I was called Garrison most of my baseball career

what kinda pancake gloves are those
the astros train with a garbage can
Yikes...This doesnt bode well for the G's future. This is fine for HS or JuCo. I am not sure I want the big club following this instruction.
When is Bruce Jenner gonna make his debut for the Giants
many drills are useless, back Ozzie time all he needed for drills were few basic ones
