I'd actually like a survival series. Maybe Phoenix, you could add some of the wacky stuff you made throughout the years and play like that. That'd be actually pretty cool.

It was never like that. In beta 1.9 Pre-release 1 though you could get it from jumping, which was promptly removed in Beta 1.9 Pre-release 2.

It is tradition to put the sword on the most left slot of the inventory, failing to do so will result in misfortune coming your way until said issue is corrected.
"Pick, shovel, axe, sword" actually makes sense. Since Minecraft is primarily a collecting and building game, your collecting and building tools should be prioritized, and in the order you're gonna use them more, which is pick (when mining), shovel (both for mining and building), axe (for collecting wood and building). The sword is an avoidable thing because you can always sleep or light up any place, you would mostly need it for food and you can just make a farm and kill a bunch of animals on a single sit.
True, though left to right in the hotbar doesn't necessarily mean ease of access since hitting 2 can be difficult at times compared to 1,3,4
@@cinnamoncat8950 isn't 2 right above the W key? (I don't have a computer, sorry) I think the 1, 2 and 3 keys are the easiest to access while the 4 key is not so much. Also, there's the thing about scrolling.
@@tale7955 yes 2 is right above w but that's why it's harder to get to, usually you're either walking forward or backwards so you can't use your middle finger to press 2 most of the time, and since youre usually pressing w, that finger also gets in the way of your ring and index fingers if you try to use those instead.
D key is perfectly between 3 and 4 so 4 is very comfortable to press with my index finger
I mean it makes more sense than my hotbar. Pick in 1, shovel in 3, axe in 5, hoe in 6, and sword in 9.

if "majong" wanted us to craft the ax on the left side, then they wound not hav made it craftable on the right side. i make my axes on the right cuz its faster (due to it being closer to where i hotkey it into my 3rd hotbar slot). i always have my hotbar in this order from left to right( w/ their hotkeys): pickaxe(1), sword(2), ax(3), shovel(4), bow(5), food(C), water bucket(V), blocks(B), torches(G). i know one of the default control settings is already on key C, so i changed that to Z. i find it easier to quickly switch to any hotbar slot rather than scrolling back and forth.

I have same tool layout as in book, since it make sense, pickaxe made to break stone blocks, shovel made for less durable blocks, but still for breaking stuff, then goes axe wood collecting tool + being a weapon, lastly Sword as a weapon. I see it as perfect gradient of tools. When I have both fortune and Silk touch pickaxes I have fortune pickaxe in the first slot and silk touch in second slot.
This was an awkward time to have channel notifications on as I was at a library near the Children's section yesterday when this video came out

Emeralds spawn more frequently in mountainous biomes
They aren’t that rare anymore in mountains you can find like 20
on page 15 of the beginners handbook it shows one stone pick and one wooden pick right next to each other along with one stone sword and one wooden sword also together so maybe thats the correct way to have things no need for axes or shovels or hoes.

Zombies can actually drop shovels and swords but only if they spawn with one or if you give it to them so they are not that wrong. Also, by that logic they should have put all of the armor they can spawn with in there but who cares lol
