Paul----You are an awesome fabricator and an even better Dad. You and Michelle have done an excellent job raising some responsible kids that understand what it takes to succeed in life. Love to watch your channel and looking forward to the F 45 build.
Nice work ! Your son that was making a knife making forge a while back is probably drooling over that new grinder , that thing is a knife makers dream.
Great way to bond with your kids AND family by doing this channel that so many people are falling in L💖VE with this days! Glad they’re captioned so it helps your deaf fans follow your channel!🤟😉 Keep up the awesome projects as well as your fun towing runs with Matt! Fab Rat’s ROCK!🤘😎
I really liked the time lapse of the welding. I would love to see more of that of the entire progress. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge / experience. A+ channel.
Paul…..you are a Master at what you build!!! I enjoy watching all your creations, you have inspired me to get back to making things myself! Thank you for bringing us along for the ride!!! You and your family are Awesome!!! Love this channel…….Fab Rats 4 life!!!!!
Paul as a beginner knife maker I am jealous of that belt sander .the guy that built one for my grandfather built the knives and tomahawks for the Jeremiah Johnson movie, congrats buddy
Paul, you did an outstanding fabrication on the bumper. I like the way you brougt it down to 2" on the ends and formed it to bend around the ends to match the truck front ends.
I built my first bumper in welding class in 1984, on a lifted 77 K5 with 35's. 6 inch c-beam with 2 2 inch tubes welded in the back of it with similar angled ends, this brings back memories. Eventually we ground the bottom of it razor sharp and I used to tear down trails and turn into the trees at random and chop them off 10 in a row. It would chop a 5-6 inch tree off easily. Pure genius I tell ya. Legal? Probably not. The trails we did it on were in the process of being removed for development, they were actively destroying the woods already, we were crazy kids but not destroying woods intentionally. Its a giant mall and dozens of stores now, of course. Nice job Paul, as usual.
You are a really fantastic Dad. I think that many of us would love a dad like you. My Dad was a brainiac, was not much with working with his hands on creating or fabricating. Yet, He was very smart in other areas. thank you for sharing and showing us how to build something of that nature. Watch it take shape before our eyes. Another treat is that we get to see Michelle, Hi there, that is always nice as well.
Dude just when I'm already impressed with Paul and his mechanical abilities he goes and fabricates an awesome bumper off the top of his head, Great work !! Lando and the rest of your kids are so lucky to have him he can go anything .. Love your channel.
Man you guys sure do well out there in Utah. I like how you guys just plug away. You guys are the very few channels that don’t say a word about Covid and that is awesome thanks for your time and positivity.
Not many Dads would do what your are for Landon. See nothing that Landon would Not Like. Kudos Paul. Did I mention that That Bumper is Boss? It Is!! Nice Build...
Love the fabrication on the bumper, it turned out amazing! Finally something I could tackle putting my electrical containment skills to good use! Love the belt sander, you looked well pleased with that! 🇮🇪👍
That was the fastest 26 minutes ever. Happy as a clam while watching but immediately heartbroken when it’s over. I know I speak for everyone. Longer videos and more of’em. Thank you 😊
Got my stickers, that was amazingly quick. Got a 2021 Bronco Sport, 87 Bronco XLT and a 90 Bronco 2 running around Southern Virginia advertising your show.
I absolutely love watching everything you BUILD!! Just wish when y'all made play lists it was in order that would be awesome!!! I did get my Fab Rats Merch in!!!!!!!!! Thank you all
Great fab build vid Paul. Belt sander makes lots of grinding dust that settles on everything in the shop...as you probably found out. Ours were set up with a exhaust filter system. "Pauls eyecrometer" looks like a good brand. Should last many more years. Looking forward to the next fab vid and the painted "bumper".
You just see it in your minds eye and build it! Lucky kid to have a dad with that kind of skills. Glad you have him put in some time, money and sweat into it!
If I can be half as great a dad as you are to my little one coming in November, I’d be thrilled. You are so patient and understanding, even when your son brings a cat home🤣 really love the channel and your sweet family.🙏🏻💙
I really like how Paul & Michelle teach their kids the value of money. And the importance of learning a skill. I like the fact (it doesnt seem like) they hand there kids everything they want. They make em work for it! Landon is going to have a sweet old truck when this is all over. I cant wait to see the next video! God bless you guys!! Im going to try to send you one of our cd's and get a T-shirt.. I may have to slide Landon some tools too!!
That thing turned out really nice. Paul, your children are fortunate to have a dad like you. The lessons they learn in that shop out some of the most valuable possessions they’ll ever have.
Paul, we really got to talk about those elk antlers that you try to keep hidden by all the extra parts. Another great day at the shop, thanks for sharing.
Bumper looks great. Nice work Paul. I really do enjoy watching your builds and the amount of skill you have. Gotta say, Landon’s truck is my favourite build. I love squares. Great channel and group all around.
Good job Paul. While you were working on the grill guard I was thinking "that should be taller" but you mentioned hitting an elk I think you said and I thought "oh, build it any higher it won't guard the grill!" Good stuff!
There are few things more gratifying than watching a craftsman who cares little or nothing about weight. Gives me goosebumps! My approach is find the heaviest piece of steel you can find and add three pounds of welding wire to it.
I'm glad your eyechromter hasn't gone wonky. Looks dead on to me. They did a fantastic job on the seat. Your are right about that sander you will use the heck out of it.
I thoroughly enjoy watching this channel. You're an incredible father, excellent fabricator and overall a great human being. God Bless keep up the great work!!
The bumper looks awesome! I would say your eyecrometer is dead on! It's pretty sweet that you get an idea and can just build it. Thanks for sharing it with us!
That's a GREAT looking bumper. It's really fascinating watching how Paul's "fabricator's" head works in these builds. I appreciate the design-it-on-the-fly methods.
Landon got the "you have how many youtube viewers who will see this?" job done on that bench seat. That looks like it belongs in a trailered show queen restoration. Great work!
That there bumper came out really nice Paul . Love watching Landon's truck coming together . Looking forward to your next video guys . Until next time take care and be safe.
This is freaking awesome you make me want to break out a welder again and that sander will have so many uses i can only imagine we will see one of those in a certain workshop with a banana in it very soon or him in your workshop 😜 very cool and great to see so many skills being passed along
Gotta get kitty fixed! Appears to be old enough. My advice, as a former auto body shop owner who loves cats, is to do it ASAP before you wind up with 6 more hanging around😻 BTW Great job on the bumper!
Loving this channel Paul! I'm getting into fabbing stuff up myself and I really appreciate how you walk us through your thought process and all the steps you take. Great looking bumper BTW!
This turned out pretty dang sweet! I need to build a nice big winch bumper for my own truck. What's the wall thickness of the rectangle tube and what's the thickness of the frame?
The BEST cat we ever had was a shop cat named Granny. 14 years and counting. She's a mouser...she'll work with ya...Cats are perfect in a shop...just go with it hahaha
Cats will feed themselves while you're away. Dogs? Need too much care. Cats can be trained to come at a call either verbally or with a whistle. They'll even walk on a leash if you train them from an early age.
I want to thank you for refreshing my mind in making things with metal.. Been a long time since I used a welder and lathe and all that good stuff.. You do a great job. But definitely wonder if we will see vocational school any more.. Do you have that in the high school In the area teaching the kids?
I commend you for embracing Jace's choice on the bike. Too many kids today are couch potatoes. It's good he's found a passion that keeps him physically active. I rode the wheels off many bikes in my younger years.
Paul, you and your wifey are great role models for your kids who BTW are so smart and very knowledgeable for their ages! I know your very proud of them! Happy family happy life. The bumper build top notch! That belt sander will save you so much time, I'm glad you got it. Take care till the next time...
Paul----You are an awesome fabricator and an even better Dad. You and Michelle have done an excellent job raising some responsible kids that understand what it takes to succeed in life. Love to watch your channel and looking forward to the F 45 build.
Paul's a great Dad for his kids and how someone can unlike this type of video is beyond me. God bless Paul & Michelle family.
Nice work ! Your son that was making a knife making forge a while back is probably drooling over that new grinder , that thing is a knife makers dream.

Love watching your progress. Cannot wait to see Landon driving his finished truck!
You should never leave your garage! People will line up from around the country to have you build off road vehicles. You are a master craftsman!!
I really liked the time lapse of the welding. I would love to see more of that of the entire progress. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge / experience. A+ channel.
Just received our new Fab Rats shirts for my wife and myself, love your channel. Keep up the great work.

Amazing what you can do with stuff you have around 😉
Landon is a lucky guy to have a Dad like you 😁
He will be an even luckier guy to learn from his dad.

Your awesome parents Paul & Michelle teaching your children work ethics & always being supportive. Bumper is looking amazing heavy duty. 🙏🦾
That was the fastest 26 minutes ever. Happy as a clam while watching but immediately heartbroken when it’s over. I know I speak for everyone. Longer videos and more of’em. Thank you 😊
With quality in mind and pride of workmanship in your heart. Enjoyable watching you Paul.
Got my stickers, that was amazingly quick. Got a 2021 Bronco Sport, 87 Bronco XLT and a 90 Bronco 2 running around Southern Virginia advertising your show.
Hi Paul and son, you are an amazing fabricator, I am so proud of you guys building the kid first truck together. Love from California.
Great job! Landon is a lucky boy to have parents like you to not only help him but also teach him.
You said a mouthful! Great family!
I absolutely love watching everything you BUILD!! Just wish when y'all made play lists it was in order that would be awesome!!! I did get my Fab Rats Merch in!!!!!!!!! Thank you all

That Bumper is awesome! Master fabricator!!!!
You're a good Father. I'm sure Landon knows how lucky he is to have a Father that is willing to put this much time and effort into his rig. Nice job
Paul you are a great dad and with YT your kids will get to watch things years from now and see all of the great times you had.
Man when are those push rods showing up. cant wait to hear that thing fire up. Nice work Paul!
That's exactly what I was thinking
At this rate he could have made his own, would have been faster
Puch rods or no push rods There is a lot of work and Paul is doing it se well The engine goes in in no time flat The end product is going to be great
You just see it in your minds eye and build it! Lucky kid to have a dad with that kind of skills. Glad you have him put in some time, money and sweat into it!
Man i hope that sander is sponsored. You definitely deserve it, cant wait to watch it in action on that yota build
If I can be half as great a dad as you are to my little one coming in November, I’d be thrilled. You are so patient and understanding, even when your son brings a cat home🤣 really love the channel and your sweet family.🙏🏻💙
That bumper is a BEAUTIFUL piece of work!!!
100x better than the batmobile bumpers most people put on their trucks 🤣
Piece of work? That is ART!
I really like how Paul & Michelle teach their kids the value of money. And the importance of learning a skill. I like the fact (it doesnt seem like) they hand there kids everything they want. Bumper turned out great. The seat looks amazing as well.
Yes, the seat was sick, but now it is well!
Should make them Merch...they'd sell.
That beige seat looks identical in wear and color on my 1986 Chevy Silverado K-10, thanks for reminding me about my seat👍🇺🇸..
It’s coming along nice , I’m sure he will be proud of this truck, especially being a father and son project !
Fascinating to watch you build a bumper from scratch. 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome smile Jace, the seat and front bumper is looking way kewl. Now it's dad tool time fun! Great video thanks. Such a master fabber!
Cats keeps you humble.😍

That thing turned out really nice. Paul, your children are fortunate to have a dad like you. The lessons they learn in that shop out some of the most valuable possessions they’ll ever have.
Nice work with the "lightning scissors". That looks fantastic, Paul!
Paul, Nice work. Great build with your kids. Thanks for taking time with them. You guys are wonderful.
Paul, we really got to talk about those elk antlers that you try to keep hidden by all the extra parts. Another great day at the shop, thanks for sharing.
This talks about the antlers a little bit. 👍🏻ua-cam.com/video/10jQGQSIXd0/v-deo.html
@@FabRats Thanks
That's a great bumper and a nice seat. Every time i watch y'alls videos i want my own shop more and more
I really enjoying seeing how you figure things out as you progress on a project. Keep the great videos coming.
Bumper looks great. Nice work Paul. I really do enjoy watching your builds and the amount of skill you have. Gotta say, Landon’s truck is my favourite build. I love squares. Great channel and group all around.
I had my C10 seat done at the same place and they do a fantastic job! Also the bumper is looking really good and stout!
Good job Paul. While you were working on the grill guard I was thinking "that should be taller" but you mentioned hitting an elk I think you said and I thought "oh, build it any higher it won't guard the grill!" Good stuff!
note to self: Don't brake check Landon
On a personal note, I hope your kids know what a great Dad they have
Haha, I just mentioned this, didn’t even see this 👍🏻
There are few things more gratifying than watching a craftsman who cares little or nothing about weight. Gives me goosebumps! My approach is find the heaviest piece of steel you can find and add three pounds of welding wire to it.
Gotta have something to keep the front end on the ground.
that bumper is so awesome and love to see the kids getting rewarding for hard work/being good
That bumper will probably be here when most of us watching this have been long gone. Great job Paul, like everything else I've seen you do.
Dude! So fricking jealous! Would absolutely love to have that grinder. Love the content, brother. Landos truck is looking great.
15:40 Santa Cruz, nice bike! Can't fault the kid's taste in bikes - I've got a first generation Santa Cruz Blur and I'll never get rid of it.
Thanks for another great teaching video! I learned that I have a built in eyecrometer😁
Truly amazing fabrication!!! Very good work- what a lucky guy to get this bumper!!! Bob H., N.C.
Yes Paul I can’t wait for the FJ to be started also 😀
Wish my pops was still around to show me awesome stuff like this :)
That is a great bumper. Seriously, I'd buy that all day
I love watching these fab videos. I'm a welder and I like seeing these ideas. God bless you and your family.
The bumper looks sweet! Look forward to seeing the finished truck.
The bumper looks awesome! I would say your eyecrometer is dead on! It's pretty sweet that you get an idea and can just build it. Thanks for sharing it with us!
“One way to learn stuff and that’s to do it”
Spot fucking on.
Great work!
I like how helpful you are to your son doing the work that he’s not skilled for and teaching him along the way that’s really cool
Put an air fitting on that bumper and it will serve as an air tank as well!
Or fill it with gas as an emergency fuel tank. 🤞🇨🇦👍
@@ronwilken5219 filling your front bumper with a flammable fluid .. um no thanks
That would keep him from ever thinking about tailgating :)
That there bumper came out really nice Paul . Love watching Landon's truck coming together . Looking forward to your next video guys . Until next time take care and be safe.

Great job. Looking forward to see what Lan's truck does on the trails and can't wait to see what becomes of the FJ. Love all the projects. Big fan
Your content is so entertaining! Just know that everyone watching it is thinking, "I'd like to hang out in that shop." Keep on keeping on.
Trucks coming together start look really good Father and Son time can't beat it, he'll treasure that truck forever
That bumper is awesome! Wouldn't do for us to live closer.
Dude, Landon's truck rocks. My favorite body styles are 70s-80s. If I lived somewhere that wasn't smackdab in the middle of the rust belt I'd own one!
Gotta get kitty fixed! Appears to be old enough. My advice, as a former auto body shop owner who loves cats, is to do it ASAP before you wind up with 6 more hanging around😻
BTW Great job on the bumper!
Loving this channel Paul! I'm getting into fabbing stuff up myself and I really appreciate how you walk us through your thought process and all the steps you take. Great looking bumper BTW!
This looks great. You need a casting of your Logo and then you can leave it on your custom parts.
That Bumper came out awesome Paul, and the seat looks mint!! Cant wait to hear this fire up and hit the road sooo we can pull the FJ in 👍🏻
This turned out pretty dang sweet! I need to build a nice big winch bumper for my own truck. What's the wall thickness of the rectangle tube and what's the thickness of the frame?
Nice job, adding that profile was a whole lot of extra work, but it sure looks better than without. Love the new grinder.

Bumper is well built, made right love watching your videos be blessed always 🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗

I commend you for embracing Jace's choice on the bike. Too many kids today are couch potatoes. It's good he's found a passion that keeps him physically active. I rode the wheels off many bikes in my younger years.
One step closer to the Landcruiser build too.
Good for you on that belt sander! Having the right shop tools makes all the difference in the world congratulations again
Most dad line ever... "I'm running out of ambition on HIS project."
While dad's new project is just outside the shop starring at him every day
Paul, you and your wifey are great role models for your kids who BTW are so smart and very knowledgeable for their ages! I know your very proud of them! Happy family happy life. The bumper build top notch! That belt sander will save you so much time, I'm glad you got it. Take care till the next time...
Again Paul adds to my lexicon… 14:05 “Runnin’ out of ambition”. I promise, I will use that phrase today.
Great job - nothing beats a father-son first ride project! Also, nice to know that his truck is teenager-proof with real steel and no plastic!
