Come along with us as we celebrate our forest wedding.
On August 7, 2018, our dream, fairytale wedding came true.
We wanted to design a day that was uniquely ours. A day where we could share the lifestyle that brings us the most joy with the people we love.
So what did we do? We sharpened the axes, strung the bows, and along with our closest friends and family, headed into the forest.
We weren’t planning on making a video and we didn’t hire a wedding videographer. However, thanks to the collective efforts of our guests and modern-day technology, we were able to assemble the footage into one beautiful memory.

Congrats to you! Some advice for you both at this point. You get old faster than you think. After 40 years of marriage this is what I've learned.
1. In disputes, ask yourself is it better to be right or happy?
2. In daily life respect each other's boundaries and quirks. It's what defines character and as time goes becomes endearing.
3. You can't change people so don't even nag or be passive aggressive. Say your concern once and turn them over to God as only he and them will make a change.
4. Love is great and even better is to like each other and the same for your kids. It's the basis of solid friendship and relationships.
5. Finally, one day when a health crisis occurs as in sickness and in health go the extra mile to nurse and nurture each other and do the utmost to respect that dignity.
God bless you and keep you making you an example to others on the profound joy of two becoming one. 😁

Beautiful! I noticed the little wedding sign had the date as 7-8-18. Do Canadians use the date as day, month, then year?
Not really sure why the artist did it in that way.
This is how we write it in Norway. And everything else in this video looks like Norway too... The trees. The lake. The rocks. Sure this is not filmed in eastern Norway?

So the brides mom made the sign, she is from England. In Canada we tend to do a bit of everything. Very multi cultural so usually the form specifies. US is usually month/day/year right?

haha, I'm not sure I agree. More work than most people would be willing to put in. Especially ours as it was off the grid so no electricity, or running water. Had to bring in washrooms and generators for catering and plan strategically but totally worth it. We couldn't have imagined it any other way.
