    Their rep told me they are killing the product after the 1-2 units they have on Amazon US are sold out. They said they will come out with a new printer but not many details. I think you got the first version and the review came too late in their product lifecycle. So instead of saying "don't bother with the review we are killing the product " they just said we are stopping cooperation. Were they the one that said "have a good life!"???

    I was never able to get the 3DChameleon to work with it... the start with a "good working printer" requirement in step #1 of our installation has never been met. I bought two of them, and neither one will even allow us to get a full test print. I gave up on it when the Flashforge A5M came out at $299... that's the totally opposite experience... it prints so beautifully at almost half the price of the Bambu that we replaced our entire print farm with them.

    Mine has been working flawlessly aside from me melting plastic around the hotend. I put a haldis bambu e3d clone in it, and it's been printing again. I did upgrade the firmware when I got it. That does suck that you can't get it working. I figured I would put a bigtreetech board in it in the future if any of the brains fail. I did however cancel the enclosure after realizing for $159 bucks the enclosure didn't include the camera, then the camera is also pretty expensive. I definitely wasn't going to drop $200 on the enclosure. I was thinking $99 with camera. I can make the enclosure for about $25 and that includes insulation. Anyway, oh well.

    Got the TS2 laser from TT, so far it has been a good overall experience and everything now works well. OOTB it needed a firmware update I could only get directly from support which was a process I can see would become annoying if you had to use it for anything more complex as there are some communication barriers. However, I am now very happy with my machine, but it is definitely the 'budget' option and I can easily see I will be pretty much on my own after a few months. Good news though is all the parts and turns out also the control board is generic and should be easy to fix/maintain.

    I gave up on mine as well. Had issues with the bed leveling, couldn’t adjust the temp mid print, would disconnect from WiFi constantly, god forbid if you have to take the hotend apart. I had to get a k-touch just to adjust certain things. I had high hopes for this but off it went to the printer dump

      @@TheRealSamPrentice they sent me an sp5 core xy in which worked good for about a month than the extruder output on the board went bad. They sent me a “high speed upgrade kit” for free which was replacing the old board with a new one & converting the Bowden extruder (ender 5 plus style) to a direct drive, after multiple firmware flashes the extruder wouldn’t extrude properly, sent a new board & still nothing worked. They tried to “resolve” by sending this to me & it behooves me that after a machines bed mesh is calibrated and leveled it just randomly unlevels & you redo the process only to have it chew up part of the bed. The carriage is a nightmare to take apart and half the time my display was half in Chinese or German. I gave mine away on marketplace

    That's a shame. I do like to see smaller companies breaking into the market with new machines as there can be innovation in the process or it helps to bring the buyers costs down and gives more choice. Thanks for your honesty Sam, you gotta say it like it is!

    Total shame because it had some promise with its unique Trident like z axis. The abandonment of the product is...sad. I had a mixed experience with the machine but it definitely performed well and its issues (in my case) were all the kind that could have been resolved with some more time spent in firmware. But like I said in the review…we shouldn’t have to fix the firmware issues on new machines. It was almost like it went out too early.

      $100 and a p1p is my issue, I’ve had good experiences with Bambu and when I get issues like the ones I’ve had here, then support is all by non existent just think how a new person into 3d printing would deal with that experience having spent the money out. Products that are out of box failures like this one need to be highlighted otherwise you’re just going to have people with a dim view of the hobby. I guess is anything perfect tho ?

    • @SirLANsalot
      @SirLANsalot 5 місяців тому

      The K2 with its MMU system is the "clone" that you want to see as it IS doing something different then just copying something on the market already. With a 350x350 and color printing, that is doing something Bambu hasn't done yet, which is large(er) scale printing. 300x300 is starting to pick up as the new standard for new generation printers to come out as a means of standing out against the prior gen printers.

    I wouldn't even bother getting or suggesting the P1P from Bambu when the P1S is just 100 bucks more and its enclosed already. Even if your going to print just PLA, enclosed helps prevent warps from random crossbreezes. Also the P1P is not compatible with the AMS system and the upgrade to convert a P1P into a P1S is 50 bucks more then if you had just gotten the P1S from the start. Open Framed Core X/Y systems are.....stupid....from the start, cheaper yes but not worth the savings. Your going to be printing at high speeds, you need the means to cool the print down via aux coolers, and open framed just makes all that airflow, escape and lost focus on the print at hand, not to mention that the P1P doesn't have and aux cooling fan to begin with.

    • @bradleyliebl2931
      @bradleyliebl2931 5 місяців тому

      The P1P does work with the AMS I have a P1P and the AMS and it works great! You are correct though it makes more sense getting the P1S. If you buy the AMS with the P1S you get $100 off the AMS so the P1P and P1S come out the same price if you buy the AMS. I have 2 P1S's and a P1P, the P1S are nice and print so good, I have not had a filament I have tried that didn't work. Although the P1P is quieter, I have it in my house and only print PLA and my P1S's print filaments that are not good for in the house. I also have a A1 with the AMS lite, and both it and the P1P are pretty quiet.

      I contacted Support about an issue with a bent nozzle shortly after I got the printer back in January. .. Never heard a peep after multiple tries. They rushed the printer out for the 2023 Christmas season, and it really showed.

    Twotrees hardware and build quality is solid for the price but the stock firmware is absolultely terrible.
    Got an OG sapphire plus v1 on FB marketplace, it was a steal but had to compile my own fork of Marlin for it to make it work.
    It prints amazing now (currently at 500mm/s without any problems) but definetly wouldn't buy TT unless you OK with making your own firmware and mods without any support.
