Just an FYI, like for the Spigen NEO Flex, the protectors that use a flexible plastic protector w/ liquid spray install - that’s pretty much how you’d get tinted film installed on your vehicle. The liquid normally helps position the film, while acting as a lubricant to clear out any dust, and helps clear out air bubbles - it also aids with the adhesion. However something to keep in mind, after squeegeeing you’ll sometimes get these tiny ripples or micro bubbles on/under the film - those will usually go away after anywhere between 8 - 48 hrs of drying/curing.
So which one would you suggest or are you going to use on your phone? Loved the video just want to make the best choice for a glass protector that fits well in a case
Whitestone tempered have been my go to for years and years now. I just recently tried the Mowei for the S22 Ultra (Whitestone was going to take 3-4 weeks unfortunately) and wow, they do say the glue is smelly but it smelled up my whole top floor and was a bit finicky. It's already started to lift in 1 corner. I have already purchased the Whitestone version and will install that once these breaks. I also have extra Whitestone glue from other screens I no longer need and have thrown out the Mowei glue. Excellent tutorial & information.
Great video - thanks for doing this. I bought & installed the Mowei protector. Easy install & looks fantastic, no bubbles, no glue on the sides. Fingerprint sensor is touch & go, even with screen sensitivity turned on. Had to delete fingerprints I created without the SP on, and then had to reconfigure my FPs. That was annoying because I kept getting the error "Cover the entire fingerprint sensor" no matter how hard or softly I pressed. This protector does interfere with the FP sensor to some degree.
I've used Mowei on my last 2 phones and have had to replace it several times due to cracks and scratches. The key is when you put the weight on the fingerprint reader add even more weight like a few quarters. Since I bought several packs, i use the 2nd weight. The fingerprint readers have been flawless. So much so that the last 2 times I've done it (using 2 weights) my existing fingerprints worked without having to put them back in
Thank you, Excellent video ! Would suggest to split the video to two parts (film screen protectors and glass screen protectors) since i don't think whoever use glass protectors will pick a film protector and vice versa.
Great content. I gave up on glass screen protectors. With the cases I use, they kept lifting. Even the full adhesive. So, I switched to the Amfilm elastic skin screen protector. He went on perfect no bubbles, and it felt like glass. My wife's s21 ultra also has it also. My phone is the note20 ultra.
Same here! The first screen protector he installed in this video kept lifting in the top right corner with the Spigen case. Went through the entire pack trying to make adjustments so it wouldn’t lift but kept happening. Now the phone doesn’t have a screen protector on it.
@Joe Pisciotta buy the Amfilm elastic skin screen protector. It doesn't lift, and you can't tell it's on your screen. And I changed my cases at least twice a week. I have lots of cases and no lift.
@@Red-Red-Red-Red the Amfilm elastic skin screen protector isn't supposed to stand up to a level 7 scratch test. It's a film not glass. I use this film because the glass lifts everytime. Regardless if it's full adhesive or sides are adhesive. I take care of my phone's but I still use a case and film screen protector.
@@jeromegold3216 Thats not true. Glass lifts if the area of the protector is designed specifically to almost tuck into the seams of the original glass frame (i.e. the edges). If there are just enough gap for the glass not to lift, then the glass protector will never lift.
THE SPIGEN NEOFLEX IS THE BEST SCREEN PROTECTOR EVER!! I bought it on a whim. I didn't think I'd be able to get it right to be honest. To my surprise, and what a lot of videos get wrong is, if you SOAK it THOROUGHLY you can put it on the screen crooked, or any other way, and you can just slide it right into the perfect position because it's so wet it just glides on the water (or whatever that liquid is). After it's on you must take the case off (if you had it on to begin with) to roll the sides down into the curved screen. I kept showing it to people because I couldn't believe how good it looked. Most people were shocked by how good it looked. I had responses like "it doesn't even look like there's anything on there!". I'm so happy I got these, and I intend on buying a few more packs so I have them. Another benefit is that if you use a lot of the spray and really saturate the phone and the screen protector as well as your hands, when you squeegee out all that water from underneath it actually flushes out any dust particles with the water!! Again, I can't say enough how incredible this looks on my phone. It looks “factory”. QUESTION! Does anyone know what the liquid is?? You really have to use a lot of it, so I'd like to have just a little more, jic. Please reply if you know. Thanks! FYI... At the beginning... That line happens in all screen protectors that have a similar installation method. When you were trying to get the bubbles out (at the very beginning) pressing hard before folding and sliding for some reason puts that line. Plus, it's not important to get those bubbles out anyway because that's not the screen protector yet. Bubbles won't show in your actual screen protector (if they are going to) until it's actually attached (after the bend and slide/peel).
After using the whitestone dome glass for about three weeks on my phone screen I can say that yes it feels great and it is very case friendly but the protector glass is quite sensitive on the edges - somehow my protector glass manage to shatterd with normal daily usage without been dropped or hit even once - I'm very gentle with my electronics. So yes it's nice but not very durable.
I don't like the camera cut out, and I don't like the cheap films either. This was a great review, I remember having trouble finding a tempered glass for the for previous phones that worked with the fingerprint sensor. Friend recommended Zagg and boy was he wrong. Mowei is the best for me personally, no cut out, clean and works with the fingerprint sensor, plus you get 4. It's also the cheapest from the top 3.
I installed the Mowei however after about a year it's cracked all over. Also the ultrasonic fingerprint reader just didn't work well at all. It will work if I wet my thumb before using it which is a pain. I'm ready to try a different one.
Just wondering comparing between the Whitestone Tempered Glass vs the Mowie Tempered glass.... the whitestone has a notch for the selfie camera and the Mowie does not...does the full screen covering with the Mowie affect the quality of the pictures on the front facing selfie camera?
That's a good question. I'm about to buy one of those you mentioned @artlyc, but that is one of my questions. I guess Mowie is trying to give you one more tempered glass and a bigger uv light to stick on the top.
If you are in south africa, don't waste your money on bodyglove. Superfly doesn't have the hole for the fingerprint and woks perfect and is well priced, very premium. Panzer glass is slightly more expensive, still good, but because it's not full glue, it tends to get dust between the screen after time. All other protectors with the hole works, but cracks easily on the edges with the slightest soft impact,or with the book case ,it scratches and cracks if closed in your pocket. White stone go as much as R1200 if you are lucky to get it,but has protectors for two applications.
Thanks for the reviews! Helps a ton... Which Glass Protector wrapped most around the Samsung waterfall edge? I always refrained from using any due to using edge side panels. My thumb would always scrap against the edge of the screen protector. does one cover more area than another protector?
Awesome review! Thank you for taking the time to be so thorough. The installation demos for each product really helped me feel more confident in what to expect.
That's a lot of work, thank you for this, it has been very helpful! I think I'd prefer the Mowei, simply because it's glass AND doesn't have a front camera cutout, it looks so clean :) (but weird that Amazon says 3 pieces with the Mowei instead of 4....oh well)
Screen protectors with cut outs will damage your screen it will damage just where the cut out is leaving a stain But it is next to It's impossible to get rid of Screen protectors should really cover the whole screen
I first got a similar tempered glass to all those edge stick with the fingerprint cutout and in a week that became a huge eyesore as it wears and unsticks, the fingerprints where also horrible and didnt just whipe away. I changed to the whitestone dome glass. Its involved and intimidating, but the results where amazing. Had no leak issues at all it came out perfect. Smooth and clear. No fingerprints and unnoticable smudging after a week without cleaning. However, I did have issues with the fingerprint scanner, and had to re-register my prints several times and up the sensativy, but over time, it has been getting better. I am currently very happy with this screen protector.
I got the Ringke dual easy film screen protector, it's actually pretty good, I have 2 tiny bubbles where dust was trapped under it (probably didn't clean it perfectly so my fault), but any other bubbles disappeared immediately and it heals when I scratch it with my fingernail.
AACL makes another one with "Full Glue Solution" and a stand to hold your phone at a 45° angle to add UV Adhesive under both edges. Comes with a weird timer/Adhesive plastic needle that goes red to green, and made for a Whitestone Dome level install. Only issue was reduced fingerprint sensor sensitivity even with screen sensitivity turned up. They sent another to try, and I'm going to put pressure on the reader before curing it. After that it's off to buy the Whitestone. This one was under $25 and came in a huge box with 4 of everything, lol!
Great review - I tried the Olixar but had trouble with fingerprint recognition, and the same with a couple of generic versions. So I'll try a liquid one I think - how easy is it to remove the glass and adhesive if necessary?
I wish folks would follow the instructions on applying these film protectors. Especially the spigen one. My last spigen lasted 4 years on my p30 Pro. Excellent.
that plastic come from factory is really good if you don't have anything don't REMOVE IT (I am tempered glass wholeseller ) curved screens are worst for tempered glass
Thx, lot of suff to be learn. You should recommand a good light source above the desk, where the installation procedure is being done. It permit to be sure there are no dust, before to stick any screen protector. About, Nillkin 19:06, you should install the screen protector into the guide, and then pill off. Not talking about screen protector result, just detail in installation procedure that retained my attention. I bought a screen protector as Mowei adhesive 51:52, those that came with liquid in vials, but without all thoses tools, got no guide and no absorbtion pads. Only cleaning stuffs and liquid vials. Not really confident about installation though.
This was a massive review and extremely helpful. One question I'd like to ask. Are all the glass screen protectors with liquid adhesion the same thickness? I've used whitestone dome for years and these things are as thin as paper. I've received some that were cracked on arrival. Would love to find something similar in performance and application as white stone with much thicker glass
Yes I have had a problem with Whitestone dome. I had a Note 10 + with a Whitestone Dome on it. It developed a problem after about a year, where the corner lifted up. I contacted them. They sent another screen protector. It was "COA" Cracked on arrival. I didn't know it for several months, because I decided to wait and make the "Lifted screen protector " work for a time. I had everything ready to install, and discovered it was cracked. The so called "Customer service" was horrific. They responded several times 5 to 6 days, then a week after that. etc., and state things that were unrelated to my Issue. Finally they state "We can not honor the warranty if it is on the phone"..It never was. They kept on sending emails..I washed my hands of that company. Several weeks of nonsense e-mails. I went to AMfilm. Don't know, but so far customer service with them has been Great. They respond to issues. SO far a Thumbs up for them. Not entirely happy with the install of the Amfilm on the S22 ultra. Two installs, and it seemed not to cover the entire screen. Twice. They sent out a new kit, and I haven't tried it yet, but in reading the reviews, It seems like a valid Issue they need to address. One other issue I see is a Broken UV light switch. Mine worked. But never got to use it due to the Liquid adhesive did not disperse correctly on the screen.
I have used Whitestone dome since the note 8. They are thin. But once you put it on the phone the glue itself actually works as absorbing. I can honestly say that as far as protection there great. They saved my screen so many times and I mean dropping it hard. The only thing is once you Crack it over time it will Crack off in little pieces like egg shell. They also seem to scratch over time. But if you want protection to keep your phones trade in value. There one of the best options.
@@techreviews.heretoday.gonetomo That's really unfortunate that you ran into this problem. I've been using them since the Note 8, and I've probably had 10 claims, never an issue other than shipping time. Each claim did cost $10 or so, and took about 3 weeks to arrive, but never an issue. I just wish the screens were thicker.. so I wouldn't have to make as many claims, if at all. These things crack/chip really easy. Doesn't take a drop to need a replacement. You might find it cracked putting it in your pocket.
I love my EGV Curved Self Healing (that works, I can scratch it with my thumbnail & a few minutes later it's gone) Screen Protectors from Amazon 3pk for $7 & my EGR Rear Lense Protectors for the cameras. Awesome! Not the "P" shape Protectors, individual protectors that look sexy & work with pretty much all cases. The screen protectors are not even noticable & my Galaxy Store says it's the same protectors they use. Both products have 5 stars
Great video, watched every minute. Currently have the whitestone glass one installed and super happy with it. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and for sacrificing the safety of your device for the testing 👍
I installed the Whitestone glass two days ago and it's already chipped in a corner. Enough that I want to replace it...which is why I'm watching this video allll the way through.
I bought Better Future after your review of it, despite having bad reviews on Amazon. People just didn't know how to install it properly. 1yr and a half later, I'm trading in my S22 Ultra for a Z Flip5. The phone is like new thanks to the Better Future tempered glass. About a month ago it finally cracked after a bad fall, but only on the edge. Didnt get worse as time went, even now as I took it off my phone. Thank you for your review.
I put the Mowei on mine and I didn't get the ring on my screen. I watched this video and so I put extra glue in that area 😆. It works prefect, no ring and it really does feels exactly like the screen for the S Pen. I can say this though. They might have fix the ring problem. because mine only came with 3 protectors and not 4. Also works with my SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro case. I've took it off multiple times and still hasn't even peeled.
For my old note 10+ I always used the uv liquid tempered glass screen protector and it lasted me for a couple of years. Because this phone is still new I haven't found a really good one yet
Wow! I am so thankful for you! I watched to decide what screen protector to get, and watched to install it as well. I was able to install it on try #2 (I'm not nearly as well-versed as you), but I would have had a sticky mess without you. Thank you a thousand times over! I am hopeful the Whitestone Dome Glass delivers!
Hi, after watching your video I purchased the number 11 Mowei adhesive as I wanted a proper protector rather than just a plastic skin. All went well, and installed successfully and tested the fingerprint scanner and it worked well ( I added a couple of coins to the weight like they suggest). I put my phone in its case and went back to it about 15 min later and the fingerprint scanner would not work! I kept trying and was getting either press harder, cover sensor fully or no match for my fingerprint and then locking me out. This was very frustrating! I have found that if I want to open my phone I must press the screen protector around the sensor then it might work, this makes me think the protector is bowing slightly and the sensor cannot pickup my fingerprint. I will admit I like the fit and finish of this screen protector but after just one day I am ready to rip it off as its driving me crazy trying to get into my phone! Personally I would NOT recommend this screen protector!
Just installed the Mowei! Came out awesome. Your video gave me so much confidence to do this...I really appreciate it. BTW, I watched their video too...yours was way better (voice over helped alot) and you were way more precise. Also, now I can't get that carnival music out of my head!!! Thank you for doing this! Liked and subbed for life! P.S. Bought through your link, and as other commenters stated, they only ship three now.
I can't quite understand why you liked the AM Film screen protector. It didn't seem to have any protective stickers for the ports and buttons or a speaker cover like the Whitestone Dome does. Why did the AM Film pass your sniff test?
Looking for a good screen protector for my S22 Ultra and came across this video. Very comprehensive and if you don't keep making these I will haunt you after I die. These are must videos covering a variety of options and tests to determine what's best. Did not mind the 1 hour video when searching for a quality protector for my phone. Hat off to you sir.
Wish I found your video before I bought the AACL screen protector. Everything you said about it was spot on. The "cutout" for the fingerprint sensor really bothers me and the screen protector popped off my phone when it was in my pocket.
I wish you'd made a short summary/comparison table at the end. There's a lot of content and it's hard to remember which ones were worked best after all that
I ended up buying the Whitestone DomeShield, the instructions provided were AWFUL! They skipped so many steps. Thank God for this video, I watched it step by step and got an absolute top notch result. Could have been factory fitted. Speaking of which. This is a £1250 phone and Samsung cannot spring for a screen protector, what a bunch of tight ***ses.
Regarding scratches affecting camera performance, take picture of a pinpoint light source (ex streetlight) at night. Anything over the lens cover will show up very well from streaking, beaming, et al. AFAIK there are no phones that have exposed lenses. All lenses are behind an optically clear glass or sapphire window.
But what about long term with these screen protectors. That's what I want to know

@S T There supposed to be a lifetime warranty on it.
@@buddybeavers2691 yes. They are "supposed to have a lifetime warranty" but the old fashioned run around by them got in the way.. 😀
Great comparison video!!! Much appreciated 👍.
Which is better? Am film or Whitestone Dome Premium Glass? My S22 Ultra case is UAG kevlar.
I just brought the same case. Curious to know!
Thank you for such a detailed video! Subbed and liked for you, looking forward to seeing more
Great video, watched every minute. Currently have the whitestone glass one installed and super happy with it. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and for sacrificing the safety of your device for the testing 👍
I installed my Whitestone a few days ago and its already chipped a tiny bit on the side.
I installed the Whitestone glass two days ago and it's already chipped in a corner. Enough that I want to replace it...which is why I'm watching this video allll the way through.
Thank you so much for these videos. It does a great help. I Watched the full content. Pretty well informative and liked the test done in this videos
Thank you for your support Wernchelle!
Wow. Great review. I immediately subscribed. Great work.Thank you for taking the frustrations from choosing the right one. Salute.
Thanks for the review.. its great. But which one do you prefer of all the ones you reviewed!
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. Incredibly helpful. Just subscribed!
Is it good ?
Honestly the consistency between the ratings deserves a thumbs up, really appreciate the honest review
This video was super helpful thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, the timestamps are very appreciated
Sometimes you need to put a new fingerprint in the settings for the new screen.
Thank you for your support, I do my best to be descriptive.
Does it have that annoying circle on the fingerprint scanner?
I want to know which screen is the number one and the best among all these screens... Please reply, my brother
What about the circle on the fingerprint sensor
I can't quite understand why you liked the AM Film screen protector. It didn't seem to have any protective stickers for the ports and buttons or a speaker cover like the Whitestone Dome does.
Why did the AM Film pass your sniff test?
White stone dome glass: "Scratches at level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7".
Great vid!
I gotta say man, you definitely go above & beyond with these videos. Wow.
Very good job,I agree to you tubes terms of services thanks.
Thank you so much, this Video is very helpful !
Many thx. This is what I was looking for 😊👍🏻
Wish I found your video before I bought the AACL screen protector. Everything you said about it was spot on. The "cutout" for the fingerprint sensor really bothers me and the screen protector popped off my phone when it was in my pocket.
That’s why I make these, it’s supper frustrating to buy a case and hate something about it.
Thank you! Very helpful. I normally stay away from Tempered Glass but after watching this, I am definitely giving it a try. Thanks
I wish you'd made a short summary/comparison table at the end. There's a lot of content and it's hard to remember which ones were worked best after all that
1:47 all eyes on me
Good video mate 👍
Thank youuu verryyy muchhh for thissss!!!
strange that you did not include the original Samsung film in the test, it is spectacular!
Yep highly regarded as the best film protection
Awesome video relating to screen protection on phone beautiful video thank-you mate.
very good job👍👍👍👍
I ended up buying the Whitestone DomeShield, the instructions provided were AWFUL! They skipped so many steps.
Thank God for this video, I watched it step by step and got an absolute top notch result. Could have been factory fitted.
Speaking of which. This is a £1250 phone and Samsung cannot spring for a screen protector, what a bunch of tight ***ses.
I got the white dome glass screen protector but it broke during the install they are very very fragile.
New subscriber here. I appreciate your hard work. Very helpful.
Excellent video, nice job, thanks for all the hard work!
Hi! Where can I get that weight for the fingerprint sensor? Please help.
Just stack up some coins
Good job. Carry on. 👍
Worked, thx
Great job :) thank you :)
I've been using the AACL screen protector found on Amazon for over a year and it's awesome.
Getting the Mowei. Thanks for the work
Great review, I just ordered the Mowei through your link.
this has been very very useful. saved me a lot of trial and error!
What would be the best option of the film/non glass screen protectors?Mainly wondering on s pen use
Impressive effort put into this educational video. Thanks a bunch!
I loved this! Thank you...🤗🤗🤗
Wow, excellent information, thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you for your time.
Excellent coverage. Your video definitely helped me make a decision between the many screen protectors available.
