Retired from a large hospital/research center. They had at least 1 shop vac on each of the 12 floors along with back ups. During one water intrusion they must have had 6 or 8 guys with shop vacs sucking up water while 10 to 20' feet of 120 volt power cord was in water. Raised hell and ended up installing cord GFCI one foot from male pluge to protect the fools. Told me but they are double insulated shop vacs.
