They can’t call themselves an official limited run retailer if they’re selling them at scalped prices.
not my thing but I feel ya
Actually Limited Run has its own store front now
LR doesn’t hold their retailers to MSRP….so they can be an “official” retailer
You're seriously one of the better channels man. You are genuine and collect and play your stuff, and don't keep stuff you don't like. Much respect and you deserve everything you get with your channel.
Yo Steven thank you for the kind words!! I just want to try and motivate others to play some of their games too. It’s cool to collect and all that too of course but we gotta try to play some of them!
I have to agree here I actually sat and watched all 44 minutes of this video most of the time I'm skipping 10 seconds until the end on alot of other channels!
Great stuff D-Can and thanks for sharing your video with me thanks again 🙏❤️🤩😱❤️🔥
Thanks again!
@@TheRetroWorld you’re welcome too
Great video! Thanks for coming by our booth!! Enjoyed meeting you in person!!
thanks dudes! next year we will snap that picture together!
Love this channel for video game collecting. You truly place yourself in the shoes of the regular Joe and show that you can still shop and find great deals. Others on youtube show how expensive games are today and how they can pay ridiculous prices for games... anyone can grow a collection if you spend $$$$$$$$. You show the world that you can still do it on a budget.
haha yo thank you so much for the support!! I don't see this channel ever changing either. I just want to document the journey with all of you!
Great episode!!!! Lots of good content. Awesome convention!!!!
yo thank you dudes!!
$10 for that Kirby Wii U game was a steal! That game goes for upwards of $60
Dude I didn’t even realize until I got home and started editing. Big shout out to the homie that sold it to me for a really nice deal! It will live on in my collection forever 😊
@@TheRetroWorld I just picked that same game up at a thrift shop 2 days ago for $5! I was pretty happy. Think I’m going to start collecting for Wii U
@@jayfanes1125 oh wow that’s sick dude! I love collecting for the Wii U!
That was a steal
Thank you for coming up!
Thanks for having me! Can’t wait to come back again next year!
You are now my favorite channel. You beat out Retro Rick and Phoenix Resale. Although I still watch all these, you're my fav.
Haha thanks a lot for all your support!!! 🙏🏽 🙏🏽
LOVED THIS VIDEO! so nice seeing you and getting stuff for your collection instead of just reselling. All the best!
Yo thank you dude!! I usually try and add stuff to the collection but I will admit it’s getting harder and harder as time goes on haha
Love all the deals.also the expo looked fun. Keep rocking it dude💥🔥🤘😎🤘
thanks for watching! the next expo video is hopefully going up this friday!
Awesome footage
My fav pickup was def the ET I beat you to Lol..good hangs, man!
LOL MY BRO!!!! that thing was pretty sweet and it was good hanging dude. I feel like we ran into you at every booth hahaha
So I started watching your channel few months back now I wait each week on a new video. I have only 2 thrift stores around me not much both small but u was like he finds stuff so imma go check them out and at one I got a wii 20 bucks had smash brothers in it. Then I got paper Mario on wii and Mario sluggers on wii and a Wii U game 5 each. If not for yr channel I would have not started game hunting at thrift stores. So thank you!! Can’t wait for the next video.
Yo thank you so much for the support. Those sound like some pretty sweet deals too. Eventually you’ll come across the stuff you already have / don’t want to keep too and then it gets a lot easier to cover the costs for future games 🙏🏽
@@TheRetroWorld you’re welcome! I watch your video first because I enjoy them and 2nd because I learned so much in general. Got me looking for those bad wii games even. And also I appreciate the reply pretty cool :)
Just watching this (even a short amount of time into the video) I feel overwhelmed, can only imagine how you guys were when you were there. So much stuff to look over and try to figure out if you want to just start spending a ton of money. Soooooo much good stuff, from the cases and manuals all the ways to the japanese imports, I would love to go to something like this dude. That Sora looks really cool. I kind of agree with you on the having a game plan going into something like a convention or even like just a massive yard sale or something. Makes it easier, yet just experiencing the the thing as a whole and trying to soak it in is also very tempting. So hard to pick for a favorite in this one - between what you picked up and what was seen there was so much good, so the favorite thing would just have to be the entirety of the video, you always give such incredible energy to your videos, and the love you have for this hobby truly shines through. #Roadto14k
yo Neil thanks for watching and all the support! it was super overwhelming to say the least but overall a really fun time!! Hopefully next time I have more of a plan of what I want to find but I guess we will see haha
Love that Super GameBoy guide. Hope to pick one up someday, but you inspired me to grab it by other means this morning.
It's such a sick guide and the cover art is so rad!!
Sweet scores! Love those Nintendo Power Magazines. I definitely need to check out some more conventions. Looked like a blast!
yo thanks for watching!! it was wild!
Awesome video and pickups keep up the good work man.
thanks Min!
I went to one of the last video game expos close to me, ended up having a storm that damaged alot of stuff and they weren't able to make the funds to keep it alive but it was an experience. Held the Nintendo PlayStation and drooled over my fair share of games I didn't know existed. Wish we had others this reminded me of how awesome conventions are. Also that Neon Genesis Evangelion so wicked!
Wish I could've went with ya! Tons of crazy stuff there
bro I thought of you the second I saw rule of rose and haunting ground 😭
@@TheRetroWorld when I saw the 250 at first i almost fell out haha
Nice you went to an Expo/Convention happy for you so much to look at makes you want to buy it all retro gaming at its finest consoles games overload
thanks for watching dude!!!
@@TheRetroWorld no worries tuned in as always
"Put it up front, for the homies" 😆
hahaha
I know what you mean by overwhelming. Currently went the Midwest gaming classic and there was so much look at and not enough time. My favorite was Ghostbusters 2 find. One of my favorite games on the NES. I would take a risk too on the the ps1 stuff.
dang that's wild! I bet it was a good time though! and I'm looking forward to playing it at some point!
Cool seein what they got at those places!
my mind was seriously BLOWN!
Nice finds especially with the Nintendo Power mags.
Also just something that you should know, sometimes there are sellers at conventions that have Switch games that have Japanese covers and usually, the ones that they sell have English as a language option.
The reason I'm telling you this because there are some games on the Switch that either didn't have a physical release in the west, got needlessly censored or only have codes in a box for their western release.
Thanks for watching and ooo thanks for letting me know!!
My boy always grinding 💪
You know it my bro 🔥 🙏 😊
So if they are an official retailer for LRG, that means all their prices were List price and not elevated second hand resell price, right? 🤦♂️
I was too overwhelmed to even notice the prices!
Lol. I’ve been looking for Space Camp on dvd in the wild and you just pick up the VHS. Lmao. Can’t make it up.
haha that's funny!!
There are actually two versions of Ghostbuster 2 for the NES. The Japanese/European version is made by HAL Laboratory and is really cute (I mean Kirby devs making a Ghostbusters game... you can't go wrong, right?). Sadly they never released it in the States but the Gameboy port of that game did. Definitely one to look out for!
Never played Mushroom Men but it is considered a hidden gem so probably a very good pickup for that price :)
oh wow I never knew that! thanks for letting me know and I cannot wait to jump into mushroom men! it looks like a fun game!
Nice pick ups! Gaming conventions are fun and definitely overwhelming at first. They have one I've gone to 3 times so far called SEGE in south carolina and at first it's definitely a lot to take in haha. It's a double edged sword to control the urge in the beginning since you want to see all the possible deals but then you might also miss out after making your rounds haha. Take it easy!
Bro you were in your element! You sounded very happy to be there. I still have yet to go to a con
I loved it so much! I can’t wait to go to another!!
Great video man and some great pickups. I went to the hundred mile garage sale on Friday and I got a Wii bundle for 60 bucks with 13 games and some great accessories
thanks for watching dude! and nice that's sweet!
That Super Gameboy guide is an awesome pickup, looks like its in great condition!
I was stoked! thanks for watching!
Everytime he says sick we take a shot!
yooooo it's about to be a SICK time! 😆
I like how you practiced self restraint at the first booth and then immediately went ham after.
Hahaha dude I thought I had self control….. 😭 😂
Oh Dang. Never been to an Expo before. Looks fun!!!
I had such a good time! Maybe you can check one out sometime!
40+ minutes of Retro World? say less ♡ thank you for todays video:))
Haha this one took TOO long to edit but I was like there’s no way I’m making this into two videos haha thanks for your support!
I played mushroom men the spore wars and I find it to be a highly underrated 3d action platformer. If I find it this weekend I'll definitely buy it again
Yo that’s sick! The gameplay I saw when editing actually looked really sick
Yeah thats a childhood gem of mine. It looks bad, especially with the "best game since Mario Galaxy" tag line on it lol, but its honestly a good time! It has a neat vibe to it
Ah yes a new video i love watching your videos after work
yo I appreciate the support!
U visited one of my fav game stores at the con. Shout out to Austin and video game corner they are great people. Getting me pumped for retropalooza in Arlington TX in October. U should come out.
Oh that’s awesome dude! They had so much crazy stuff and that would be sick if I could make the trip. Definitely planning on hitting up more of these in the future
Awesome seeing you guys floating around! I seen some of our junk you were eyeballin... Hope to maybe drag you out to Athens Ga. at the end of September.
haha thanks for watching dude!! and oh sweet! what's going on in Athens? Definitely let me know!
@@TheRetroWorld we host a lil smaller buy sell trade convention, working on number IV for late September!
That looked like a ton of fun! I’d like to check one out sometime too! There was an in box jungle green n64 in the background at some point, that was probably my favorite thing because I’ve got one but not in the box, and I just made a trade and picked up a green original game boy today, it’s in really nice shape too!
By far the best thing I saw was that copy of Ys7 for the PSP.
that was wild!
That one table had heavy hitters, Rule of Rose, Koudelka, etc…what was the price of haunting Ground? You were moving camera around so quick
Dude they had some HEAT!!! and I can’t remember what haunting ground was going for but I think most of it was pretty close to market value. Still insane to see in person!
I would've been all over the booth that had all the Japan import games, there were some pretty good prices there for sure!
dude it was hard not to buy the entire table!! that was the stuff I didn't even know I needed until now 😭
Enjoy the NinjaBreadMan dude!
yo thank you!! I can't wait to give it a shot 😂
Lucky man
thanks for supporting!
Flipping Accountant his name is Justin. his channel is good. he normally buys clearance items and resells on Amazon.
Oh yeah that's him! He was super nice and gave us a deal on some games!
@@TheRetroWorld I'm a pretty big fan of him. I learned things to watch at Wal-Mart. Can I ask where are you based out of? I got some things I want to run past you for next year possibly. I will message you privately soon.
I am super upset that I missed Game Jam for a second year! I’m going to message their Facebook page asking them how I can find out when their next one is because I’m hardly on Facebook as much as I used to.
I’m still looking for that Kirby Wii game and that deal on the Rainbow Curse is a super deal. I can’t get that lucky. lol
As for the Southern Fried Game Exchange, I know of it since I live in the metropolitan Atlanta area, but I don’t know what they have as far as vendors. I had an opinion that it was not like Southeast Game Exchange in Greenville, SC because the entry fee is like other larger conventions like Dragon Con which makes me hesitate to attend.
I bet the one next year will be around the same time most likely! You should follow them on Instagram so next year you’ll have a heads up!
@@TheRetroWorld Cool! Thanks for the Instagram heads up. I’ll follow them there as well.
Dude so happy you got to be a guest and had a good time.
Thank you so much man! It was such a good time!
gaming expo , i'm in
dude it was wild!
Man we have go to a game covention together one day lol
oh I bet it'll happen! Definitely planning on going to more in the future!
Any idea how to go about getting one of those gaming signs?
I forget the name of the company that was making them but I know I've seen them on instagram before. Maybe try searching there. If I figure it out I'll post them over on my instagram!
It must be always odd to see so many uncommon and rare games, when you are usually travelling in the wilds and searching flea markets and other places.
Dude it was wild to see. It was really sick though just to see the weird and obscure stuff I’ve never seen. Definitely expected prices to be more than what we are used to but I was honestly surprised with some of the deals we snagged. That PS1 bundle ended up being a really good deal and everything ended up working too!
What is the name of the app these guys use to find the prices on ebay immediately? :)
Lmao probably eBay
Those are such bloated prices for donkey Kong country. My local game store had it CIB for $55 less than a year ago which I snagged it for haha
Ha yeah I feel you on that. I know pricing has gone up but I was surprised at some of the prices I saw 👀
Take a shot every time they say, sick.
SICK!!!
that warehouse has like half of the worlds video games lol
Haha I think you’re right!
You guys think prices will start going down soon?
I honestly have no idea. I want to think some stuff might but by the looks of it it's really hard to tell. I think some of those really obscure games like Rule of Rose will just keep climbing up over the years since it's basically a piece of art at this point haha
@@TheRetroWorld it’s interesting that game prices aren’t coming down too much even though inflation has increased
They know what stuff goes for at this things tho! Your not getting much for cheap!
usually that's the case but the box of ps1 stuff ended up being a great deal!
nintendo power have 285 issues! Very hard to find some in mint condition always in bad condition
285 issues?!?! DANG why do I keep thinking there are like 70 or something? does the 285 include the newer ones they did for like the Wii and stuff?
@@TheRetroWorld Yes last issue 285 (december 2012) for exemple was for New Super Mario Bros on Wii U so it's include the newer ones. For exemple yesterday i ship 55 issues to CGC for grading and my latest issue is 144 for Zelda Oracle of Age/Season on Mai 2001.
I would have taken the time risk on that ps 1
I'm glad I did! I ended up needed a few for the collection and I sold off some of the doubles. Everything actually ended up working which was amazing!
What was that Nintendo game that was 320$?
I'm not sure! there were too many haha
I wouldn't be able to go to one of these expos. I literally wouldn't have money afterwards.
I don't blame you at all. It was CHAOS! haha
I’ve asked this before but didn’t get a response any way you could send me that copy of yo Kai watch any you have my daughter has become obsessed with it thanks
the only ones I have are in the collection right now dude!
Lemming
🔥
Why don't you get a haircut bro? Never seen you with one, no hate just wondering why lol
You gotta go back a few episodes to see me with a haircut haha I have this never ending cycle where I grow my hair out and then I cut it super short and the cycle repeats over and over!
I love going to video game conventions but I can’t bring myself to drop the asking prices on some of these heavy hitters. I’ll stick with the flea market. I recently scored Futurama (PS2) for $5 at the flea. Let the suckers drop the $200+ for that game.
First??
Let’s go! 🔥
The monkey king and Dinosaur strike on the Wii are actually hidden gems I own them both
that's what's up!
You must be single bro
why do you think that?
@@TheRetroWorld seems like it
