Great job! Lots of great ideas in this video. I like you variations on the filing jig and forge. Hopefully you have a video on that filing jig.
Thank you buddy! I try to make do with what I have. I’ve been lucky to find a workspace with a knife maker and we share all the equipment which has been a real upgrade for me in most areas.
Soft pine wood, doesn't need razor sharp knife
looks good, nice build, but for a really good carving knife
The blade should be thinner!!
and the blade should be at least 58 - 60 rockwell!!
The speeded up parts are really hard to watch. For us old guys.
What type of steel?
Audio didn't hear instructions and tools much to loud for myself aa I have plenty of shop noise so didn't enjoy files grinding sawing noises
Didn't learn anything. 😕 disappointed as far learning
Hi John, I try to share the knowledge I acquire with my viewers, this is one of my first videos. Perhaps one of my newer videos will be more informative.
As for the the steel, it's GFS O1 steel, a very common oil tool steel. The list of materials is in the description.
Excelente trabajo! felicitaciones
