You can leave out the heat shield, it was only important for the catalytic converter because the catalytic converter gets incredibly hot. A catalytic converter on a motorbike....is nonsense anyway. The important thing is the pipe, i.e. the connection between the exhaust pipe on the left and right without the interference pipe you have less power. Especially with the BMW Boxer you notice how much the power drops without the intermediate pipe interference pipe. I have also noticed this with other Twin's. I don't have any experience with the Triumph Twin's, but I think there is a lack of power without the pipe. Greetings from the Chaos State Germany
I think the warning on the display is because the catalytic converter and the lambda sensor are missing, so you have to install a dummy that fools the electronics into thinking the sensor is still there.
Anderes Video). Viel Spaß!
Hi Thanks for the both videos really helpful! Do you live in Germany as well? Are we allowed to drive motorcycle in Germany with x- pipe, i would like to put x pipe with Zard Exhaust on Bonneville t120 but im not sure about the laws? And i see that you have removed the cat completely.
@@BernhardSchlegel ty for your fast reply! would you like to provide me a link from your exhaust? I can’t find any information about other exhaust with cat build in…
Hi, thanks for the video, I want to know if this exhaust pipe will fit with triumph swing arm bag? Since the bag sits above the stock exhaust and this is slightly tilted upwards?
I watched both videos. Why do people who have no idea what they are doing make a video to prove it? There was no need to Grind the cat off. You could have disconnected it without ruining the bracket. I did not see or hear anything about replacing the gaskets between the head pipe and the cylinder head. Those two gaskets should be replaced when changing pipes. You also didn’t properly torque the bolts holding the head pipe to the head. Yes, your smoke could have been paint or oil burning off but could be from not properly torquing your bolts.
Great videos! The real sound test revives the engine [constant at] 50% of the red line RPM. That's how pipes are tested in Thailand, anyway.
The smoke is just the paint setting up and burning a little bit. Completely Normal and it disappears in a few runs.
Such an amazing sounding and looking bike. Being a Harley owner, this bike is a possible purchase!

I like the stock sound of the Bobber but holy does this crackle and pop in all the right places
:D I really hope it's crackling in the right places. But TÜV was OK with it.
Der TÜV hat das so abgenommen? 😂 Nice haha

That smoke is normal. It disappear with time
Good to know! Thanks

Yes I do. My Massmoto has a Cat built in. Xpipes without a cat is not legal in Germany afaik
@@BernhardSchlegel ty for your fast reply!

I can’t find any information about other exhaust with cat build in…
Why not run straight pipes?
These were the straightest, street legal I could find :)
How did you resolve the kickstand issue?
I went for accepting rather than resolving. But solution would be to make a new custom middle piece

Hi, unfortunately I can't say much on this as I don't have a triumph swing arm bag. To me it looks like it'll be a close case ;)
