840D a lightweight and durable material ? So what is the material ? Nylon or maybe unicorn horn 840D. and how do you determine how durable is it ? I use to have a bag made of 800 or 1000 D nylon, left it under the rear window of my car for the summer, when I tried to get it and take out something to use, it was so brittle from the sun it fell apart in my hands. I stick to cordura since
Hello Hanz, Sorry to hear about your bag! Did you manage to get some form of refund or replacement from the manufacturer? For me, I don't usually keep anything under direct sunlight, and they're only exposed to sunlight when I'm outdoors, as we have pretty intense sun here along the equator. And yeah, I have my share of cordura products too, and they're definitely more sturdy, albeit slightly heavier.
@@Hong.Wanderlust hi there, I didn't bother for refund about the bag, I left it on purpose there, didn't think much of it at the time. I go in the woods for a hunt, or scouting, maybe test something or just sit there and blankly stare at the sky. but I don't stay overnight. So weight is not that much of a deal for me. I go heavy - heavy boots, heavy gun, heavy gear. We can't hunt all year around so I use those kind of outings as conditioning and leg training lol. What I want from my gear is to know that it can take it. Maybe I won't put it through its paces but I need to know that if I do, it will hold up. But I admit, heavy gun is not optimal, gets my hands tired if I hold on aim for longer period, next time I'll get something lighter.
@@hanzkammler6388 Sounds like ALOT of fun! 😊 And yeah, given the sort of outdoor activities you do, I will most probably trust (cordura) or (dyneema) as the preferred materials for gear such as backpacks. 👍🏻

I’d ditch the paracord and carabiner. I doubt you ever use those either. Get rid of the medicine since you’re in an urban environment and are surrounded by places that sell that. Bandaids suck. Just carry a strip of leukotape on wax paper and a tiny roll of gauze. Also, there are much lighter flashlights than that and would provide enough light for your purposes
Hi A! Thanks for the advice. - With regards to the carabiner, I do in fact use it frequently to hang up my motorcycle helmet. 🙂 - With regards to the paracord bracelet, yeah, I do agree, it isn't really functional, more of a fashion statement! 😂 - As for the first-aid gear, I agree, I definitely need to reconsider some of the items I have! 👍🏻
