Beautiful work from a talented photographer - capturing video at this scale is never easy and you have managed to nail it right out of the gate! I look forward to seeing a lot more of your excellent content! Bravo!
What a surprise. And this to me is about the highest praise that I can receive, because it comes from yourself, a true legend of macro photography! Thank you so much Allan, this has put a very big smile on my face.
Thanks my friend, just collected some of my clips and stills together. I'm brand new to video and only got hold of premiere pro software a few days before putting it together. So it's not great by any means, but it is fun to do!
A phone is fine as you know, and you don't need an expensive camera and lenses to do macro, not by any means. A cheap dslr body with 50mm lens and a set of extension tubes are all you need. You will get one soon I'm sure.
Excellent photography, particularly liked the Red Soldier Beetles. The macro images of the single beetle are wonderful - is that a "Dead Nettle Leaf Beetle" ? - I'm trying to learn to identify "bugs" at the moment and start doing macro photography.
Thank you for such a wonderful comment. The metallic beetle I think you are referring to, is a "Green Dock Beetle" Gastrophysa viridula (De Geer, 1775). They are excellent little subjects for macro and are quite numerous here in the UK. Thank you again.
great music too
That was the hardest part, finding one that I liked and could use on UA-cam. Lol.

Nice work! I also really enjoy capturing insect behavior out in the field. Looking forward to more.
