Great video thank you for teaching us so much lot of things I have forgotten over the years . I old now and fighting for life with cancer and it gives me just one minute of peace to thing back when I was young . I started driving tracker at the age of 9 years old and if I did wrong they beat my butt so I learned very fast back then in Texas . God bless you and keep it coming please . Old man Cliff
Years ago, up in northern IL, we had several pullers that had a huge weight box they could hang under the tractor. It could be hydraulically moved forward or backward for weight distribution, during the pull. It lasted a couple of years, before the rule changes banned movable weights.
I had rather see these tractors pull than the modern stuff. It is amazing those transmissions and axles will take that much abuse without breaking. Most all of them have straight cut gears. I know the Deere tractors do.
I know you are a Farma man but watching the JD poppers brings me back to my childhood memories on my family farm that my Dad left, unfortunately because of my Mom but Uncle Will had an A or B JD and a MF diesel which I hated. The sound of that JD popping will resonate in my brain til I die. Never drove a tractor but did drive the hay truck at 9 or 10 cuz I was too small to throw bales but could pop the clutch in the old international truck to idle along as the others threw bales and stacked them during hay season. Unfortunately its all gone now!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Farmall fanatic I've watched your channel before, I didn't realize you must be local you're going to stoneboro pool that's Mercer county Orange county Fair pulls first Lawrence county I'm in Butler county. . We farm with red paint here our farm is in common connection about mile and a half west of the Butler farm show grounds and we have free fairly due and rather up-to-date diesels but then we have nine old Farmall gas jobs everyone has work to do. We just finished restoration on the 1941 bn.
@@FarmallFanatic well Farmall fanatic you ever get to the Butler area look us up we're about mile and a half South and West right off of route 68 from the Butler farm showgrounds. We have a I hesitate to call the collection more like a fleet of farmall's here I called my fleet because we still work them I dont call them a collection I call them a fleet we do work them they are not shed Queens there most of them are kind of pretty we keep them painted up and well maintained but they do get to work.
I love those old IH tractors they clearly sound the best. I dont know how JD made it through the 2 cylinder years. Who would want to listen to that poppin all day? Give me at least 4 cylinders
When I was little I would go into my sisters bed room and open her window and lie there listening to my dads and neighbors two cylinder John Deeres working after supper by the house. There's nothing like a JD 720 or 730 lugging down pulling a 4-18 or a 5-16 moldboard plow especially when there was an IHC 560, or a 400, 450 that was having to stop to gear down and raise their plow to get through a tough spot....
It's really heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time when you're beaten by a young girl. It's happened to me several times. I love seeing the big smile on their faces.
tractors w magnetos they don't like water or damp weather keep them dry they work alot better that why U see them w a bag around them or a cover that's why OMG 11 18 2O22
U have 2 put more weights on 4 each class U pull the back tires are where U get the pull from any way the back tires have 2 bite the track in order 2 pull OMG 11 18 2O22
Ive owned cubs and 140s and back in the late 40s to mids 60s think i prefer farmalls but deere 50 and 55 series mfwd are cats pajamas and all i own now
If Farmalls didn’t have the TA they couldn’t pull imagine if a two cylinder John Deere had something like that oh wait John Deere‘s did not need anything special only two cylinders to get it done
Great to see the Tractor Pulls at the fair! 👍👍
Thats super 99 $$$$ big bucks

I love these tractor pulls, in fact, the wife and I just went to one last night
Where at?

Having a TA on the Farmalls back then was a game changer. In the late 70s, I overhauled many of those TA units.
Love these pull videos! That Super MTA that Ron has for sale is a nice nice machine!! Whoever gets it will get a heck of a tractor.
Yeah
35:00 still one of my favorite tractors to pull i had no idea that old super M had that in her but she impressed me !
Great video. One thing I miss about western PA is all the antique tractor pulls. Keep up the great work!!
Nice pull Paul, you got every inch the old 60 had to give. Good driving!
Love those tractors. Wish they had the older pulling tractor around here in Ky.
Russell County Ky on October 23 there is gonna be farm stock and antique pulling along with semi.
@@spencergreene6650 Thanks Spencer that still almost 4 hours from me I am in far western ky .

I had a chance to drive one in a parade for a friend, but it was having overheating issues, and didn’t have time to fix it.
Cool cool & cool
Good seeing that old iron run. I had a great time at the tractor pull. Thanks for taking us along.
Yeah mercer county! They have a antique power show there a couple weeks before the fair with even more tractors
I'll have to check that out next year
ohh nice, I was there late Saturday.
I had rather see these tractors pull than the modern stuff. It is amazing those transmissions and axles will take that much abuse without breaking. Most all of them have straight cut gears. I know the Deere tractors do.

Damm. This was very interesting thank you. F f
The IH’s were the best back than but watching them all is fun.
Shame the John Deere’s have less power and still pull right with them amazing farmall just couldn’t get power to ground
How hard can it be to have a throttle on a M that stays back all the way instead of most drivers putting so much effort into holding it back.
Not hard at all if you use a friction throttle or m and w
I have been there but a good while ago. Nice country fair. Down home country folks. Hope to get back there again some year.
Loving these videos great stuff man a fella wishes he would have done some pulling with my super C this year would have been fun!!
Wonder who else just bought a Super C?!
Nice to see a Davy Brown there
A WD 9 has 335 cubic inches it's considered a true 5 bottom tractor
Hard to beat the old M’s great iron
You don't see the 450 diesel at all. We had one starts on gas & You switch to diesel.I like the old one's nice.
tractors that were made overseas U see a few here in the USA not very many I myself only seen a few over the years OMG 11 18 2O22

💥BOOM💥
Where and when was this pull held, and is it a annual thing if so I might try to head up next year if they have another one
This was at the Stoneboro Fair. I believe it is twice a year
What do you use instead of a sediment bowl? I would like to do it to my M. Thank you.
Some guys bypass them and put a shut off valve and then an inline fuel filter
Gotta want it 💥
Where was this event?
I checked the bios, is “near me” a real place?
Stoneboro Fair...near me
@@FarmallFanatic thanks, in early 2000, we lived in Mercer, near the Shenango river reservoir on the west side of Mercer county.

they were marketed as being much cheaper to overhaul

A very hard track, killing a lot of tractors.

oh no. .. lol
Not enough John Deeres to suit me.
That’s only reason farmalls won lol
Two cylinders and no extra t/a lol …. 4 cylinders and a torque cheater gear and more green than red left in the dust dead..👍🍺🤣
Can't argue a better designed tractor
FORD stands for :FIX OR REPAR DAILY : great video regards N Ireland .
🤣🤣 FIRST ON RACE DAY
Shut them Egg Beatin Deere's off...🤣
Ahahahahahahaha 🤣
Take a 720 diesel on a 4 x14 plow and see how your farmalls will compare.john deere was made for farming not cut weight game bs
Keep in mind a 720 diesel is about 60 horsepower, so that gives me the right to use a 656 against that 720 OK I'm in
