Rei Ohara is a top bassist in Japan who made his debut with the Sadistic Mika band, and is a super bassist who has played with Ian McLagan, Bonnie Raitt, Ron Wood, Keith Richards, Jim Keltner, and more.
By the way, I'm a fan of MAGMA and Christian Vander, and I saw him on ZAO's STAGE in 1997 when I was in Paris for work. I also saw MAGMA's Japanese performance in Shibuya around the same time.
@@tad9828 The first concerts for me were at the beginning of the 90s, in 1992 with Les Voix De Magma, the concert in Douarnenez in Brittany at the northern tip of France which was also partly released on disc (AKT I). I must have seen at least four concerts with this group then after the official reformation in 1996 I saw them quite regularly until recently at the Salle Pleyel in Paris for the 50th anniversary of Mekanïk Destruktïẁ Kommandöh. I know that they are very well received each time they visit Japan.

KYLYN is an imaginary auspicious beast Kirin (the one on the KIRIN BEER label). so K stands for Kazumi, L stands for L(R)yuichi, and N stands for Nakama(Friends). The band was made up of young jazz and rock musicians who represented Japan at the time. They lasted less than a year, but reunited for a live show in 1987.
教授はKYLYNで全国回りながらYMOの西海岸公演、格闘技、加藤和彦のバハマレコーディング、スタジオミュージシャンもやってたんだから休む暇なんて無かったんだろうな。

今回もペッカーのパーカッションとボイスがいいな。昔のクロスオーバーのライブは、レコードとは別物のハプニング性が魅力だった。お祭り騒ぎと、どれだけ引き出しがあるかみたいな。昨今のフュージョンみたいに、リズムをキッチリやってるだけの音楽には興味ないな。
