it appears so far these are more accurate than JBL SRX 835 ... the JBL have a dip in midrange and overboosted treble ... these do not seem to have that. on the other hand the JBL having a large titanium compression driver will probably do better in a situation where you just need to cut through loud noise and not so much deliver sound quality. will be interesting to see how these will be priced versus the JBL here in USA. thanks for the videos.
Definitely they should be better than those JBL SRX 835. The RCF NX 985-A have the latest technology built in them, FIRPHASE and BASS MOTION CONTROL. Now I can see the difference between these speakers and the others I've had before.
The SRX835 will not "cut through", although it will not limit as hard ad get icy like the QSC KW153 whose '00s parent HPR is the first of all three of the brands' current horn-loaded point-source 3-way boxes. I agree the 835 runs warm @2-4khz which is great for DJs but is a minor hassle for live music as some additional EQing is needed for vocal mic channels.
I have that Speakers too. They are Great Speakers very good Sound deep Bass but i think they are Not so loud and limiting early. I Had the RCF 945 they was Louder and never Seen the limiter light but at the nx 985 First time i See Red light Limiter and i am Not very lucky about that. What do you think? Greetings from Germany
I don’t think so. I bought 2 the NX 985-A last week for singing. You turn the volume to 2 or 3 o’clock you will be surprised. The sound is too loud and the speaker very strong.
I plan to use this speaker for my home and little garden parties. What do you think? What about hissing if there is no signal? Is it noticable inhouse?
@@pajtimdj Thx for your nice and fast answer 🙂To make it clear for me avoiding misunderstandings: If you are in a quiet room and there is no signal of music on the output or the music is low level and relatively quiet , is there anything of hissing hearable and disturbing?
Hi ! I think the Dynacord Corus C25.2 is louder than RCF NX 985-A though the NX 985-A sounds cleaner to me. I haven't yet listened to Etx 35p or Dynacord vl 212. But I assure you the rcf nx 985-A sounds fantastic with clean mid and high frequencies and a lot of bass.
I'm really thinking about buying these NX 985's, I have 4 for 6001, I thought this might replace the 6001. have you ever heard of 6001? Can you compare? NX writes more SPL, but the question is whether it is measured the same when the 6001s are older. Thank you
6001 will be very dificult to replace, im not shure if NX will be good enough. IMO if you want upgrade, you need to look up to TT series or other brand for example eaw.
@@MBprosoundservis in my opinion the NX 985-A are really good speakers. I have them from 6 months and I like them a lot. Sure there are better series from RCF like TT+ and TTL but for the price the NX 985-A are worth it.
I think just one NX 985-A could handle up to 100 people without sub. Ten days ago I played some music at the beach. I took just one RCF NX 985-A and it covered and nice area with a nice volume more than 15 meters away.
These speakers are really powerful. It's like having two nice subwoofers in front of you. Sound quality from these RCF NX 985-A is simply amazing, crisp clean in details. 200 people can be covered with no problems, maybe more.
Llegan a su punto máximo un poco antes pero es bastante normal, hasta el momento no hay problemas. Los NX 985-A son excelentes parlantes, son potentes y suenan realmente limpios.

Thank for your video I'm just wondering Which one better nx985 or nxl44a?
Thank you so much
Hi there ! I've listened to the NXL44 and I liked it. I prefer the NX 985-A, it has more spl and more punch.
I plan to use this speaker for my home and little garden parties. What do you think? What about hissing if there is no signal? Is it noticable inhouse?
Hi ! The RCF NX 985-A is a great speaker. I haven't heard any hissing yet. I think it might be too much for home use but for garden parties are great.

anybody an idea for an passive equivalent to the nx985
If you have to ask, you probably should stick with actives. Not snark.
🤔 how are those VS Yamaha DSR215 ? I know the RCF will be cleaning
I haven't listened to the Yamaha but I can these Rcf NX 985-A sound so good
Hi, I have a Montarbo w28-as. Does the RCF NX 985_A outperform? Please reply soon
@@lildemy1504 hi ! I've had the Montarbo W28as and I think it outperforms the Rcf NX 985-A
Even if it was nx985 with 18 subwoofer?? I will make a decision that I don't want to regret 😅
Is it stronger and sounds clearer than dynacord? does it sound louder than ev etx 35p, rcf hdl? :))) rcf nx 985 beats dynacord vl 212?
