But imo our phrases give 2 different vibes, best part about literature. For me yours is more of a scared phrases , nerve-racking, the character is trying to shelter himself from the guilt of killing him, like he’s trying to console himself. but mine is more of that character like cid kagenou always bored having fights with other characters but finally had a worthwhile fight with the well renowned witch. To me this character in this scene is bored he wants a challenge someone he can actually test his strength on
