I’ve been using dupixent for 3 years for my eczema. I had it all over my body but NEVER on my face or fingers. After Dupixent, I’ve developed dry eyes, itchy fingertips, and itchy forehead. They can be annoying but will never be as bad as it was before. I am very grateful for this medication as the skin on my body has fully healed. I use eye drops for my dry eyes, cream and ointments for my face and fingers. They’re manageable. They don’t always occur. They tend to come and go. My skin is very good looking now. I can even put on makeup.
@@trompettist not everybody gets it - I never had the eye infections. You have to try for yourself. Some people stopped using Dupixent because of this, others just use eye drops, it all depends, everybody is different.
I am on Dupixent since 2019, it was a live changer for me and I could not be more grateful for this medication. I developed the facial problems as well but it is nothing compared to how it was before the medication. The red, extremely dry flaring spots in the face are caused by sun (I am sure about this in my case) and sweating. It helps me to use sun blocker and very fatty cream and when I am sweaty I wipe my face with a damp cloth and put new cream on (as often as practical possible).
How are you doing now ? I've taken my first dose today and have already dry eye, nothing to crazy maybe it s just because the first dose is double but Reading a lot of source now im a little bit scared..
So you take a $25,000 medicine to clear up skin and stop itching that ends up causing redness and itching, makes sense. If this occurs I’ll be stoping it. Skyrizi was already a waste of time.
I don't usually get side effects from medications. However, I'm using Dupixent for the treatment of nasal polyps. My sense of smell returned fully, I can breathe better through my nose and I have less congestion. Amazing! Right? Not so fast. I developed dermatitis on my hands that I've never had before. I also developed pain around my eyes. The side effects are bad enough that I needed to cease Dupixent after being on it for 5 months. 😞
I have bad nasal congested , and doctor recommend this medicine or surgery to clean up the nasal pathway. I haven't returned to him and I'm not sure what to do, in order to fix the problem
@@daxor483 I stopped in August 2023. It is now May 2024 and although the side effects are now fairly mild, they are still there. About twice per month, I will get some pressure in my eyes and a little bit of eczema on my fingers. Very strange. On a positive note, the nasal polyps have stayed down for the most part and I can still smell. So I guess you take the good with the bad. I'm just not sure yet how safe these biologics are.
@@tonyford3221 i think the problem is that the terapies are not fit for the person. They just give everybody the same 2 injections at month but for some people maybe it is too much drug dosage. I took my first injection yesyerday (double dosage at the start) and now i have an overwelming sensation, like the drug was too much. The problem with the eyes are that the drug deabilitate a special biotransducter, which isboth responsable for allergic inflamation and eye mucose secretion ( for some people ). I think they should have given me a first eye visit to test the biocompability with the drug, but they didnt . If i start to have serious eye problems i m gonna immediately stop using the drug, no worth riskying eyes
My son has had eczema and asthma since he was 8 months old. He has been on medication his entire life. He started Dupixent in October 2022. It's been a life changing experience for the entire family. He can now sleep. One of the side effects is his chest and face flare up in red welts for the first week after the injection. Can this be treated? Thanks
My son has suffered from eczema his entire life and after taking dupixent it got Worse! It’s been a year and he still has no relief. He gets redness and dry skin around his eyes. His body will break out all over. He is worse off now and the new medication (cibinqo) is not working. It’s been a nightmare
okay so evwryone is saying that after some time it somehow gets eaven worse , and not to take it 😑 but what if u dont see any other option?? my problems with dermatitis just wont ever end....it dissapears from one place and shows on another....im so fed up with it alredy.....every week at a doctor....nothing is helping 😩
I now have gotten rashes on my inner thigh, close to groin area and also on my neck but closer to collarbone. And I notice I get sicker more often than I ever have. Is dupixent worth it?
I just started on it a couple days ago and my affected areas are more itchy every time I lay down on them like my back and my sides. I can’t lay day without getting tingly then itchy which is causing a struggle to sleep. Anyone have any answers for this?
I've had my load dose and two weeks later had my first shot. I too was very itchy. But Vaseline mixed with cocoa butter helps. The itch ( I believe) comes from the raised edges of the dry flakes catching on my sheets.
Your explqnation doesn't maake sense, "it was there in the first place or it developed" Oh please, it's TSW symptoms in the first place, and Dupixent isn't able to preveent those symptoms from occurring.
My kidney dialysis doctor says all those advertised over the counter medicine he doesn't suggest to take. It's all to make drug companies lots of money. There's very few that are actually good for our health. If they were good my kidney dialysis doctor would recommend it. He says DUPIXENT is the worst over the counter medicine.😅
I wish more doctors would acknowledge this

Like all drugs-it fixes one thing and breaks something else.
I would say the eye infections that 33% of patients get taking Dupixent is also meaningful.
Hi, my doctor just recommended dupixent as an option, so I'm very interested in that statistic. Could you send me the source? Thanks in advance (:

Dupixent is definitely not over the counter. lol. It cost $3800 a carton for the meds if you don’t have insurance. Serious money.
