Roger that! In fact, that's taking jiu jitsu back to its roots. For instance I did bjj for almost 3 years and to a point it got boring because I started comparing it to the Japanese style that I practiced when younger and saw the huge lack of putting pressure on you're opponent, in fact the only way they put pressure was the knee on belly then my professor scolded me when I made use of my full grappling background especially when doing so made me able to tap his precious blue belts while I was just a plain white belt I feel like it regressed my skills instead of better them.

Salvador Dali what i got from it was to use strength wisely instead of thinking you dont need it at all

he's never trained BJJ, it's just an honourary belt because he's so good at grappling with his background in catch wrestling.

JB said he went to a no gi tournament and they changed it to a gi tournament at the last minute. He said he did not even own a gi. A vendor gave him one. He said I guess I am a white belt since I never train gi. They said no way you are a black belt. So they gave him a black belt and he won the tournament. Shows the power of catch wrestling. Now I train BJJ but I am always slipping in catch moves. There are no catch schools near by me but my BJJ school welcomes all kinds of grappling. I am blessed that way.

This is actually Catch Wrestling that he's demonstrating. He learned it from Billy Robinson, a Catch Wrestling legend and a former Professional Wrestler.
