    this really helps to get an understanding of how to make more complex geometry rather than extruding faces and ending up with a cube you have to try and smooth out later, amazing work!

    your understanding of topology is impressive, and the way you try to keep everything clean is fantastic, how long would it take someone to get to that level? and if you had to make a plan for someone to become as good as you in topology what would you advise them to do? or how should they practice?

      thank you so much ! i think in few months you could become really good at modeling. i’d recommend starting in Low resolution and adding objects to one another and trying to connect their topology and keeping all-quad geometry! thank you again 🙏🏻

    Hello, I see you have pretty advanced knowledge about topology, What do you recommend to learn in order to become skilled? What book or course should I get?

    • @IrakliGogava
      @IrakliGogava  Рік тому

      course? well i don't know, once you know the tools topology is just a decision-making process. all polygons has to be quads. that's the main logic behind it.. i watch mx2 sometimes he's just great topo-modeler. yeah. you can also just inspect the topology on other people's work.. think about how you can connect,slice,deform objects without losing it's form but maintaining all-quad topology .. and sometimes it can be triangles and ngons, but most of the time it has to be Quads. this is pretty much it. thank you very much for kind words and comment, if you'll need any help join my discord and we can assist you more there. i'm trying to build up a friendly community in 3d modeling/game developing genre.

    Doing it this way means you have to under stand exactly what you want from your topology. Sculpting and modeling from a cube and block out is much easier for beginners. But then again this is a showcase not a how to.

    I have a question, when I make a loop cut, it always takes the form of another shape I’ve made with loopcuts. How do I make it %100 vertical ?

    • @IrakliGogava
      @IrakliGogava  Рік тому +2

      there are two options.
      1.if one of the edges in whose you are making an edge loop is straight (or you want it to follow a certain edge) you can press ctrl+r to make an edge loop. click once, then press E on your keyboard and then press F to make the loop mimic a certain side of a shape.
      2. you can make a loop first. then select the loop and scale it with a value of 0 on the axis you want it to be straight to.
      hope it helped!

    Hey man I’m not sure if you’ll see this but I just have a general inquiry. So I have two objects. I’m creating 1 shape using 2 objects to make my life easier but I can’t line up one of the objects, it skips between being smaller or larger as I scale up or down but doesn’t line up. Searched forums and stuff and couldn’t find anything. any ideas ?

    • @IrakliGogava
      @IrakliGogava  Рік тому

      hey thanks for the comment!. here's how i would do it.
      if you want to scale it but keep one side still . you can select the face or a vert which you want to not move and press Shift+S then "cursor to selected" and it'll move the 3D cursor to the part of the mesh you've selected.. then in the center of upper menu there is a small option for "transforming pivot point" press that and select "3D cursor". after that try scaling your object again and see if everything works perfectly...
      ps. you can join my Discord server and i'll help you in detail there if you want of course.

    Hey I have another question if you don’t mind. It’s going to be a little bit difficult to explain but I’ll try my best. It’s for a bolt of a sniper rifle if that helps you visualize the issue.
    So I’ve added a cylinder mesh, (bolt) and extruded around 5 faces (bolt grip). I now am trying to make the extruded vertices circular so I can finish the bolt grip but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to make a perfect circle using vertices. I have auto smooth at 30 and I’m making a low poly model so that’s not the problem. The issue is that I can’t make the vertices symmetrical, I always end up with a very very bad shape lol. I’ve done this about 5 times now and it’s driving me crazy. Can you please offer any input/advice? I would really appreciate it :)

    • @IrakliGogava
      @IrakliGogava  Рік тому +1

      hey thanks for comment! . perfect circle needs minimum of 8 verts. you can select one face which you want to be round then press righclick to subdivide once, after that i believe its shift+alt+S and move your mouse right to make it a perfect circle .. if that didn’t help you should add an addon which is preinstalled in Blender. go to settings->addons and search for “Loop Tools” then again click on the face press rightclick to loop tools-> circle.. it should help.. but remember the face needs to have minimum of 8 verts for it to work perfectly.
      hope it helped!
