BUDGET Vs LUXURY in Maldives?? When I first thought of traveling to the Maldives, I knew my ideal trip would be a comparison between visiting a local island vs also going to a resort island. And let me tell you, that I was extremely happy about this decision. The local island provides a perfect insight into what locals really live like. You get to experience a smaller more localized experience and you can enjoy excursions/activities without breaking your wallet! The luxury island, on the other hand, is the most relaxing holiday you could wish for. With 10/10 hospitality, pool sides, beaches, and villas will make you feel pampered and a little spoilt as well! This was one of my favorite destinations ever, and I'll easily count it in my top 3 for now!

I too did a similar thing back in 2017 where we spent a week between Maafushi and Fulidhoo Islands. And stayed for a night at Ohluveli Resort. Both the experiences are nice but the prices lets you enjoy excursions and water at local island way more.

Btw if I am not wrong , these are nurse sharks. Very calm and friendly of their species. Killer sharks look somewhat different with visible cannines and broader jaws !

I used to be the head chef in one of the resorts (can't say the name) in Maldives and i have to say its one the most peaceful and beautiful places I've seen till date and believe me I've seen a lot of places cause i change hotels every couple of months 😅

@@Vigneshsantosh6 It's a budget hotel compared to resort islands. Plus the rate that I've mentioned is peak season rate, it usually goes down to 6k/night. Plus on this island there are many stays that even cost 1-3k/night :)

We had been to Bandos in 2018 in the same villa which they seem to have revamped ..the place is paradise ..but all activities can be a bit expensive as you have mentioned :D
