  • More trees from the Island where the beavers had a party! Tree was split into two big trees about 5-6 meter from the ground with lean towards the water so had to climb it.

    You guys have super easy trees. Lucky you. I was in Sweden for 2 weeks and all the trees look Really straight forward. Nothing crazy. Beautiful contry and people btw.

      Don't agree...Depends what firm you were with and what contract you were working on. There were some big old trees when I was there that would command respect from any climber..Agree on the rest though.

    My first tree had heart rot. Didn't know until I cut the trunk and saw the stump 🤣 beginners luck?? Or sap wood is pretty strong? Good idea tying into that other tree. My big fear, it just let's go when the top is cut

    Hej! Jag är jättesugen på att läsa till arborist, men det är som så att jag gillar att röka lite weed emellanåt (inte varje dag men någon gång i veckan) och undrar helt enkelt om företagen brukar ta tester (i så fall hur ofta) för det samt hur de förhåller sig till det? Hoppas inte du tar illa upp eller något, men hade varit jättetacksam för svar verkligen! Tack på förhand

    • @whodafuckknows
      @whodafuckknows 5 років тому

      Kan säga så här, han på videon är inte arborist alls. Klättrande trädfällare snarare.
      Ett tips, börja inte din karriär innan den ens startat med att berätta du blazar. Och tror inte något arborist/trädfällare företag tar urinprov helt ärligt, jobbat med sjukt många som vart i branschen 10-15 år eller längre dem flesta röker/har gjort eller gör det då & då. Men börja inte din karriär med att berätta det :)

    It's aways fun to watch you work. What is purpose of making the shallow cuts on the sides next to the notch. 5:13 example... Be safe out there...

    • @patkarlsson
      @patkarlsson  6 років тому +3

      Thanks! The cuts on the side is too prevent the bark from peeling of when the piece goes over. If it peels it can tangle in my lines or steer it in an unwanted direction.

    • @larrystephens7437
      @larrystephens7437 6 років тому

      Thanks for the replay. All of my cuts are done with both feet on the ground.! The only line I need is the the line I run before it falls... Never to old to learn more safety.

  • @SorenSatellit

    Great work Pat! Nice view! I love to bomb big parts ... but there are usually a house or fence on most jobs. Nice picture! Do you record the movie in 4K or less. I just upgraded to a 4K camera and wonder about if it's necessary to record in full resolution? Stay safe! Soren

    • @patkarlsson
      @patkarlsson  6 років тому +4

      Thanks! Yeah the bombing jobs are not that often as I want :D
      I record mostly in 1080@60fps with my GoPros. Just got a new Hero6 that handles 4k better so maybe I will use that but 1080 is best to not waste so much room on the computer!

    • @SorenSatellit
      @SorenSatellit 6 років тому +2

      Thanks! I will try 1080 at 60 fps. I'll probably get plenty of Gigabytes anyway! Climb safe!

    • @patkarlsson
      @patkarlsson  6 років тому +4

      Yeah its a good setting! Then for really crisp picture you should render your videos with high "Bitrate" around 32-40 Mbps otherwise it will be pixelated.
