- This video is a little different. Decided to add the cheapest semi-plug and play remote start on the commuter ride. 2009 Ford Edge Sport with 195k miles. Still runs great!! The new trucks have us spoiled with the remote start and leaving for work at 5AM in the winter is a killer with a cold ride! PROBLEM FIXED for $120!!!

Thanks for this video. Your instructions also work for My 2009 Escape. This cleared up an issue with the instructions for the Escape. Mine said release on the blue light to start with but the module would never program as a key. Started with Red and it worked the first try.

I wish you got detailed explain what cables you are rewiring and where!!? I got everything with plug and play no wiring.
There were only 2 wires to connect.
Have you replaced the water pump on it yet? I hear it should be replaced at 100k because a water pump failure can cause damage to the engine but wanted to hear first hand my someone that has over 100k on it.
I got the lock unlock lock can I still program it to the lock 3 times

I sold the car but the remote start still works. I know the person who has it.
What kind of range are you getting with the remote?
It is a stock remote. So I just get stock range!
150ft 300ft depending on building structures around.
Will this work on a 2014 Ford Edge.
I am not sure what models this will fit. But if the 14 Ford edge looks like mine, I would assume so.
