wonder what the other 3 gods are doing, coz surely they would have gotten a hint of this rebirth? and think it could change the great game in favour of Slaanesh?
I'm convinced that this is GW's way of trying to get all of Chaos back to the forefront. The Newborn would 100% be of interest to the other gods

I thought Slanesh has had a snake motif in the past as well. In 40k, Fulgrim becomes snake like when he becomes a demon primarch of Slannesh.
Morathi's snake connection is due to her Slaanesh corruption.
@@seanz9189 Great point. But I don't recall Slaanesh having a "two headed" snake as a symbol. Morathi on the other hand now has two bodies, one beautiful and one beastly. I think that's a bit closer to the two headed serpent in the short story.

Sigvalds weapon is sliver slash not shard slash right?
He had a new rapier crafted for himself, called Shardslash that looks fairly similar to his old world weapon. Made from his former Prison (shardglass) hence the name Shardslash.

I mean more along the lines of seeing my idealized self being twisted into a dark image to make Sigvald.
SIGVALD is the best chaos champion. I once capslocked his name and now I can’t un-capslock it, that’s how Magnificent he is.
Real talk: SIGVALD is the funniest Warhammer character to me, and also the most entertaining. He’s so morbidly goofy I love him.
