No one but a gaslighter can maintain this is good news for the A338, but it seems that Garuda simply can't afford them right now. Maybe they should pick up some more CEOs on the second hand market, because leasing current widebody types when there's high demand, is not going to be cheap either......

Lufthansa should HAVE retired the 747-400, BACK in 2020/2021 in my opinion and they should've cancelled the 777x program and opted for the A350-1000 as well as retiring some A340-300 units, specifically the older ones.

I agree with you. Lufthansa has massive deficiencies in service. But then you certainly haven't experienced many other airlines. There are far worse ones. Boston Logan's getting a Jetblue lounge? Niceee!
You dont get it, DJ. The A330 800 is the least of Airbus worries as its part of the A330 'family'. Keep having to tell you this
I think the A338 is just a distraction at this time; this cancellation frees up slots for the manufacturing of the backlog of A339's.
it basically exists to be the basis for the next MRTT

I wonder who’s gonna take those a330neo delivery slots in the production line?
I‘m not even sure if fixed slots were already assigned, the deliveries were scheduled between 2027 and 2030.

why does Airbus not fulfil existing orders for A330-8 and close down production thus freeing up staff and production space for other models?
Airbus is also struggling along with Boeing, both companies are having a lot of trouble with scheduling and being on time.

JetBlue - Merger - AA
i’m unsure if that’s a good thing? given aa’s massive issues-why not a delta or united merger?
