- A large fight turned into a fatal shooting at Eastern Market at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Detroit.
Detroit Police Chief James White said two men were fighting when an Oak Park man pulled out a gun and fired at least two shots, killing the man he was fighting with and injuring at least one other.
White said that the officers were in the area working on traffic and other Detroit Lions related activities when the fight broke out. He said they responded quickly and took the shooter into custody
Police said they recovered two weapons from the scene.

Actually, it is the gun. I can name a bunch of other countries where they drink as much as we do or more, but you don’t see shooting like this on a daily basis. Go to Germany isn’t that country known for drinking? Why don’t they have shootings like this on a regular basis? They drink in the UK they drink in Ireland yet we don’t see these shootings like we do in the United States on a regular basis why? Not only that people around the world suffer from the same mental health problems we do but for some reason, they don’t pull out a gun and shoot each other quite like we do.
I know why that is it’s because most of these countries, you can’t just own a firearm.

I like how people think that these crimes don't happen in other places. I'm from Detroit and moved to north Houston 8 yrs ago and two people just got killed last night at a block party. This is really getting crazy and really sad. I went to Detroit on Sunday but didn't get down there until later in the evening. I'm glad I was not in that area. Its getting to the point where you cant go anywhere and enjoy yourself. Many times these fatal shootings are about nothing. or even people losing their lives just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Why?? What is it? People who feel like guns make them look like they bigger or tough. What happened to walking away or just giving an old school butt whooping????
