The submandibular gland opens up at the duct of Wharton While the Sublingual secretes it’s content into a smaller duct called the duct of Ravinus which then converges to a bigger duct called the Bartholius Duct
The disparity between the pH is saliva is a lot, some say it is acidic some say it is alkaline. But most of my research all bores down to mixed saliva been acidic, and that's one of the reasons why lingual lipase isn't very effective other than the absence of emulsification.
I was just laughing throughout the lecture thank you so much for making it simple. Parotid empties at the second molar. Submandibular empties at the lingual frenulum Sublingual empties at the floor of the mouth. You did say much about the Intrinsic of the salivary glands
9:02 Parotid/Stensen’s duct follows a course with bends and opens into the vestibule of mouth on a papilla on the crown of the upper second molar tooth. I forget the openings of other ducts :(
hi sir With all due respect, you asked two questions about the complications of Entamoeba histolytica, and you did not explain the amoeba. We want a lecture on Entamoeba histolytica and Leishmania, which is transmitted by the sandfly insect.
and the sublingual gland has multiple openings on the dorsal surface of the tongue, and the submandibular gland joins the duct of the sublingual gland and opens together
I would like to say; thank God that you were born to deliver these videos.
You made our life easier ❤❤

Hey medicosis, which salivatory nucleus plays major role in pathophysiology of xerostomia? Inferior or superior.
Xerostomia in which context? Old age, sjögren, stroke, or what?
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis if you can tell in all these context, it will be helpful.
