with it's estimated $1 dividend payment monthly, if you bought CONY now you will have ROI within 15 months, therefore free money after that, this are income funds, they are not growth funds, if you want to play it safe, when you get paid the dividend put the money into something safer
I like your plan. No risk, no reward. I started with $1050 in a TFSA in March/23 mostly started in YTSL. Sold it when it was up 30% and went into various high yield funds. Sold them when they went down to much and bought others. Today it is valued at $2117.00, last month I received $108 USD in distribution. That is after 15% tax taken off. This is all with just reinvesting the distribution and not adding any more in the TFSA.
As long as I've had CONY, it always comes way down and then goes back up over my average price. I'm down quite a bit right now, but crypto is here to stay!!

I would like to dump all my CONY shares entirely but it’s so far down right now. Thankfully MSTY dividends help make up for the loss. The only YieldMax ETFs worth owning is MSTY. It already paid for itself with close to 200% return since April of 2024 counting all dividend received. With Bitcoin projected to rise high, MSTY is a long term hold with great potential.
For sure. Tfsa: auto taxed 15% of all distributions form u.s etfs or stocks that pay a dividend. Cash account (not 100% sure) because I don't have that account type. My guess it's taxed like normal income. I'd Google that though. Don't trust me.
@ it’s Canadian so you don’t have to worry about the 15% withholding tax. Buy it when it’s $19.30 or under and you’ll lock in an 18% yield or higher. Buy it with your high yield dividends. Add some stability to your portfolio and diversification.
Qqqy has been terrible from day 1. It's difficult to tell by looking at the chart. But every month has been a steady downhill. They just did a reverse split with no change to strategy. They'll do another one within 2 years if they don't change strategies. Yes you get a distribution, but it's been an awful fund.
1000 shares, nice! Could be good, could be terrible time will tell. But, if you've got the cash and you're willing to risk it for the high yield then good. If you are borrowing and it changes your life for the worse if you lose a lot of capital then bad idea. For me I don't put a ton of my net income into these. I will build them up though over time.

Unknown but you'd think it would all work even without the vpn. I don't think you could create accounts, but most likely use them while here. I know I've used my apps in Europe
I added 250 shares in my 2 of my accounts when the price dropped 100 at 13.5 then it dropped further. So, I added another 150 at 12.45 but my cost basis was in the 17's since about June. I have seen it at 11.35ish and up to 18 plus over the last 6 months. I am up 12 % overall in 6 + months. A loss of net asset value but the dividends have outpaced the share price loss. My big position is 1855 shares in my IRA account. And 675 shares of CONY in a taxable account that I have built in the last 6 months. I don't drip in these I take the cash and buy my other funds if they are below my cost basis.
@@wolfe5047 Agreed, but a lot think bitcoin will go to 245000 in the next couple of years. If it goes down to 75000, could be a great buying opportunity.
you need to go read the prospectus and go watch some of the vids the yieldmax ceo has been interviewed in - some of your understanding is completely wrong
CONY is far too risky. I lost a lot, when it first came out. I only recommend CONY in pair with FIAT to attempt both up and down price action, while keeping the large dividends. That being said, I have NOT figured out the right formula. Nor have I found the right DCA method. I am still experimenting.
I'm doing the same, but I bought FIAT way too high, and it's way down. I don't think it will ever recover, so I'm just collecting dividends until I can break even. However, FIAT is great when BTC falls.
I'm doing a 2 month re-invest, 2 month withdrawal of my dividends from CONY and MSTY. This will be my 2nd month. I'm going to keep this method until I have 1,000 of each and then just keep the dividend from there. I should reach the 1k of MSTY within 8 months with this method while also "re-couping" what I put into it initially.
You buy low and sell high when there is capital appreciation. These funds are garbage and Jay needs a visit from the SEC. The slimeball calls them income but tells you you need to reinvest 100% in order to maintain a positive total return. You need to give him your income..... Think about that. His funds generate revenue for YM based on AUM, transactions, and the yearly fee. So the more you give HIM, the more HE makes. CONY, NVDY, MSTY are anomalies. Look at the rest if the garbage they throw at the public while the SEC does jack. Scam dividend traps, all of them.

Hi Mike! $CONY is a powerful ETF 🚀📈📊 great video, thank you!
Looking forward to my first CONY distribution on Monday! Even though it’s a lower amount…Best wishes to everyone in this community.
You too pemeal. (get what I did there)? Build it a little at a time.
Mike for president even though he is from Canada! Come on Mike let's do this!
Fun video, Mike! I went to CONY island with you. Ready to take the rides!
Mike! I’m buying the $CONY and $PLTY dip! 🚀📈📊
Enjoying you content I'm doing the same with cony just reached my 180 shares now leaving it to do its thing
Thanks for being here. Let's go! DRIP DRIP DRIP.
Nice.
When do we expect it to go up?
Mid year? With Bitcoin bounce?

yup exactly to all of that. Take the distribution and put it in a blue chip is what some people do. Or SPY
Im doing the same thing 🤑
My personal opinion is MSTY is the best of the yield max ETF ‘s, and NVDY is next in line.

@ , yes with Questrade. Passive shows the total distribution before tax.
@roneinarson6342 after tax and in canadian
I’m the same way, always wanting to make adjustments to holdings lol

Agreed
Nice video man. I currently have 1097 shares. The plan is to just hold for the time being. I dont want to over concentrate
Keep it up, what are you doing with the distributions?

Thanks Doug, trying to pick something and stick with it. I feel cony might be my gamble, but it could compound nicely.
Solid work Mike!
Thanks
Been buying more cony at these prices. Thought I was getting a good price at $17 (sold a bunch at $27 in April)! Bought in September at $17
Let's hope it doesn't continue the way it's going.

Oh let's hope not. But if bitcoin drops 20 000 it's possible
I bought 1000 shares of CONY @ $15.71 in Dec 2024. I am wondering if I made a mistake! Any comments/advice? I am from Canada too.
I got 4000 shares round the same price. Same boat. It fell down like this back in September and rebounded back up to 17ish.

Then i'll have at least half the shares. Unless it does a 5 for 1 reverse split. Then i'll have 1/5th the shares. Not good.

Out of my four Yieldmax positions, Cony is the smallest and the one I have least confidence in.
