Sorry to hear bud. Have you read or heard of "12 rule's for life"? Jordan Peterson. Helped my sister through her depression Good luck, stay safe and get out and fish more
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
If you want to keep fishing with braid but want more stealth, you can get yourself some 8 pound fluorocarbon line, search up a double uni knot and tie yourself a wonderful little leader!
As always, beautifully done video that really captures the spirit of fishing. The slow motion releases are a wonderful touch. Nick's videos are about communing with nature and his easy-going minimalist approach has gotten this couch potato off her butt and back into the natural world. Thanks to you, Nick, I've found some tiny creek treasures near my house just by following your lead and looking for them. Keep up the excellent work- see ya later, Buddy.
There is an 8 inch craw tube on tackewarehouse I think that's about the biggest craw there is. I know there are 7 inch creature baits but idk where to buy them
Who in the world is giving you thumbs down? You're one of the nicest guys on here, always respectful of the fish & the environment. I don't get it, what's not to like?
I bought six of these in soft plastics, freckled transparent red fading through orange to yellow green. The bluegill love them. Or hate them, they destroy them, even though they may not smell like real bait. My homemade flies are smaller and get more bites from bass too, but I will keep using the crawfish. All kinds of pan fish pounce on them.
Classic beetlespin. I usually keep the white grub they come with on there caught huge bass and chain pickerel and small bluegill on the same lure. Very cheap at walmart!
I know I've said it before, but you've gotta get a hold of the smallest twitch bait out there, the Rebel Raider. Especially in cooler water, that thing is deadly!
Great video / great editing as always👊👍. I'm with you on using that braid on the ultra lite setup. I used to use light mono in creeks until I found braid and now I love it.
Strange, the Beetle Spins usually come with spare soft plastics. I've got two of these in my box for this weekend but I don't think mine came with spares either.
even without claws it still looked like a dragonfly nymph. that's probably why they still bit it. as for your question I have had it where I have fished in one spot and to me I feel it has been 20 min then I look at my watch and see it has been 3 hours lol.
Joseph Welch it’s a bass pro “uncle buck” brand package I found in the crappie:panfish isle at cabelas! Was only $2 for 3 plastics and included the spinner/jig. Great value!
ben anthony patrick great for line shy fish and tiny lure casting. Also makes it a challenge to bring in a bigger fish... very frustrating when you lose that big fish though
Nick, someone mentioned fluorocarbon leader with the braid. I'm a fan of NanoFil. Casts a MILE. As I recall, it's also of much smaller diameter than the equivalent weight mono. Drawbacks are knot issues (double palomar works for lures, swivels, etc.) and poor abrasion resistance. But the NanoFil coupled with a fluorocarbon leader..... killer!
618 Fishing thanks for the insight, just getting back into fishing helps keep me get through tough times. Your videos where a huge motivation to fish again. Tight Lines and God bless.
hey! if you keep breaking that 2lb line, maybe try 4lb test? or what i do sometimes, 5x 4.5lb nylon tippet for fly fishing as a leader on your micro rod.
I always have 8 lb powerpro braid and some form of a leader, be it mono, flourocarbon, or fly leader. That way you have braid for bass and stained water, then you can attach whatever leader you need for maybe if you go trout fishing like I do a lot.
I love little jig spinners like that! They are so much fun to throw! Small diameter braid can cast really good. Depending on what brand, that 8 pound braid may have a diameter smaller than the 2 pound test you were using! I use power pro,and Berkeley fireline ,and 10 pound power pro has the same diameter as 2 pound test. I have the 10 pound pp on 2 of my UL baitcast setups. Those tiny craws are nice. I have 2 varieties of similar size craw baits from yum brand, and jbrodbender.com . For a 25pk it only costs 2.39 + shipping,on jbrodbender.com,if you're interested. I've had good results running them on jig spinners, like you did in the video. Both brands.
just why do u use 2 pound test. its rlly harsh on the fish when it breaks off, if there is even a foot of excess line, u could tangle up so much wildlife
Brandon Victor the line will break anywhere the pressure is the toughest, but it will never break at the knot (if it’s a good knot). It could easily break with quite a bit of line left attached.
Brandon Victor i read a study in which they found the deeper the fish was hooked the faster it was expelled even if they were treble hooks. Not a single one actually died either
While using such light line sounds sporting, its very difficult on the fish with a lure in its mouth. I have caught many fish with hooks still stuck in the mouths. While they still survive, I dont think they do as well as a fish with no hook. A lot of times the area around the hook is infected. I bet the pond that Nick fishes is full of scared up bass from all those small lures that he loses. While we all enjoy a challenge, I just dont think is very sportsman like to be irresponsible like that.
Yo you should check out Lelands lures! I thought it was a trout slayer crawfish. They are like micro size! Highly recommend checking their lures out! Tight lines b! 👍
@@618Fishing bro mines a 4'6 ultralight the test is 2-6 pounds. But man im telling you i hooked 2lb smallmouth with it and 3lb to like 2lb channel catfish with it. But my ultralights are Shakespeare's but i used them for along time
Two words: Berkley Nanofil You will thank me later. It will out cast anything else you have tried. The 6 lbs will hold up to most of the fish you are catching out of that little pond. It will cast, as well or better, than that 2 lbs break-o-matic mono..
Because you can't cast that on an ultralight, it is more sporting, it is more enjoyable to make things challenging, and why would you ever do that for a small lure challenge.
What a silly thing to say they definitely notice heavier line. I don't use two pound line but I would never even use 12 pound for bass fishing like a lot of people do. They see it and if you have any idea what your doing you don't need it
I'm becoming a believer in micro fishing lately
I love micro fishing
*newspaper smacks * no more 2 lb test m'k
LMFAO
i love watching your videos they make me so happy and help me in my fight against depression

who agrees with me when I say this guy deserves more subs
No more 2 lb test, stick to the braid. Hate seeing you lose nice fish

Liked before watching.
I have an orange one of these myself. Tried it in saltwater and had no luck. But I've always wanted to try it again. Thanks for the share
If I get you the largest craw ever made will ya catch a fish in it?

AlecChrz look up hooksettersusa they make a huge one!
Danny Cal haha I have that craw... saw it in a muddy river catfishin video and have yet to try... thing is massive!
618 Fishing awesome! Can’t wait to see if you can catch something with it.

The beats this man has are so sick
Another awesome video mate. Love fishing with light tackle. Big fish still eat small baits. Keep em coming bro
Hes such a wholesome man
Beatlespin, got to love em
Man, this channel is cool as hell. I look forward to your new videos each week almost more than my Steelers games (at least this year...)
That little bait was sick great video

Glad you took my recommendation of the 8# braid. Great stuff that is very strong and behaves well on a spinning reel. Wind will blow it tho.
I know I've said it before, but you've gotta get a hold of the smallest twitch bait out there, the Rebel Raider. Especially in cooler water, that thing is deadly!
You should get ready for the Ice! Can’t wait for more ice fishing vids
"Alex got one too, what you got"?
HOLDS UP HUGE LARRY..ha ha

Samuel Warden 8lb braid is pretty amazing..
Just subbed to this channel. I have a big pack of those crates but never knew how to fish them. Now I do. Thanks👍
Craws not crates.
Incredible place, beautiful Fishing! Hug and always good *Fishing!* 👍🎣
Your videos are fun. You have both good days and not so good but you never stop. Keep it up.

Nick you are such an inspiration❤️❤️❤️
Where did you get the micro craws
Have that dude in your videos more often!
You should try out the Strike Tiger 1" nymph and froglet
I’ve been looking for crawfish lures I love them!
Nice Nick! You have me addicted to searching ebay for crazy lures now.......
Water and Ice Outdoors haha I’m sorry man! 😅
I like how you do the tiny lure challenges. Can you do a giant lure challenge next video
Despite not liking catching small fish, this looked like a lot of fun!
Best fishing youtuber
what brand was the lure?
Would love to see some more saltwater/canals fishing :)
EllZard gonna be filming some salt content in the near future!
Bro, you are the king of lite lures! Nice video my friend.
What is the retrieve method? Slow and steady?
Mike McCrane pretty much! I like to throw a few little twitches in there too
There is a craw just like that but Walmart I caught 3 big bass
By any chance know the size of that lure.. I'm looking to get a mold it's 1.375 long craw....
Love those little craws got some at big 5 n the lil dinky bass love em
How many of your lures does that lake own?
Have smaller ones in my tackle bag but still a dope vid
Jar Kas lol
What is the logo on that hat?
I love these things, got them in a purple underside and deep purple top, everything's smashing them this time of year x) happy fishing y'all xD
Love your videos

The ending of the video, when you fall, i laugh 😌
Cant wait for bow fishing, keep it up bro
Qinan Akmalin I’ve got one on my hard drive!
These are great for creek fishing, their are smaller ones though, just barely, i think they're made by twisted? They have very small limbs
Basically a Bettle Spin.
Hey that looks familiar. Ive had it in my bag of microplastic for a bit. Never knew where it came from.
Joseph Welch it’s a bass pro “uncle buck” brand package I found in the crappie:panfish isle at cabelas! Was only $2 for 3 plastics and included the spinner/jig. Great value!
Set your drag way light with 2# also bass frequently try to rip the claws off before they eat a craw so maybe a one claw craw is okay
Berkley makes one like that that is awesome.
Leland Lures has a really small craw body like that
It's something like the trout slayer madd crawdad. I have a box full of em.
Yumm baits makes them
Awesome video
7:45 hahaha I can't even tell you how many times I've done that.
3:27 you caught that same fish twice. Lol
What’s the advantage of using the 2lb test over the 8lb braid?

is that thing smaller than a trout slayer?
Can you do a video on your jeeps??
Awesome!!
Love the videos
Why do you use 2 pound test to leave hooks in the fish's mouth
“Ever find yourself in the same spot for an hour?”
Bearded Man: yeah with a real mans Lure.
That's the same as trout'slayer by Leland

Hey they loose claws in reel life if you ask me it would be better cause it can't fight off the fish so the fish has no hesitations to eat it
matthew ours that’s a good point!
Hey, I am from Germany and wee have way more smaller lurers should I send u some?
See you later buddy . Always make the video good 👍🏻 keep it up
Can not find anyone with a video of the zman chatterbait micro. I was able to find one at bass pro shop for $2
Steven Williams I’ve got a video using it! Love that lure
I seen the video with the little fish lure chatterbait the one I got is the micro version of the bigger ones with the strings.

The not saying see ya later buddy bothered me u tried me but great video 👍
I have a feeling that it’s you that likes the crawfish more than the fish. They’re just hitting it for the spinner action.
I love how the crawfish fell off his finger!
Georgia Fisherman literally took me 45 seconds to find it in the grass
Mid size craw catches everything
(AWESOME)

An hour? Only an hour? I have been in spots so long it was like my feet were in concrete. Lol
Flat Out Bank Angling haha

Michael Porterfield haha I think you should go for it!

Captain Blubby I’ll check em out thanks!
What the heck fell from the sky at 1:53 ?
AZ Viking good catch! That’s crazy?! Curious as to what that was.
Haha that’s my buddies spinner. We were beating that lay down to death 😅
Is there no poison ivy?!? I look at it and get it
B I got it bad from filming this video 😭

Zach Pham what’s the specs on your rod? I may be using a too short rod tbh

Enjoy the bloopers...reminds me that I'm not the only one who falls on my butt.
