Watching these videos on 1.5x speed has made such a difference
Great series, great concept with the videos. Love it!! Can't wait to start my tank..
Great series!
You should have put the rock in first, then the sand. The rock will likely tip over the way you did it.
Looking forward to the build
I made my first purchase from your store and loved your videos. Keep them coming
Awesome! Thank you!
Love this series! Great job 👏!
Glad you enjoy it!
Love it any recommendations on what kind of coral I should get
I need more!
I wish that when the aquarium was set up at our office that the live rock had been glued together so it wouldn’t move around so much.
When I go swimming I don't see a fish tank. No rinsing the sand? Love the rocks...
Nice change to have someone whos smiling all the time...
Your doing a great job so far! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what you accomplish!
Thank you so much!
Pipe primer? Did it need to be glued? Should screw ends be taped? Or are these things toxic for coral? Come on guys!
hey first rock than sand - afterwords you get a crazy goby and rock will fell down on a glass
Rock first than sand ask me how I know that! 😏
You should have washed that sand first. Your tank is gonna be cloudy for a very long time. You also should have put your rock in first directly on the glass and then put the sand around it. If you ever get fish that are diggers the rock will shift and potentially crack your glass
This sand from Two Little Fishies is prewashed? No dust. www.saltwateraquarium.com/dry-aragonite-natural-bottom-coarse-mix-reef-sand-44-lb-two-little-fishies/
@SaltwaterAquarium all sand should still be washed you could see the dust fly off this but i am on the fence here. people said the same about my live sand which is stupid and I didn't wash it and it was clear after a day or 2 definitely clear before it was cycled. have had people blame that for my occasional algae struggle though
but the sand will not hold the rock. need to get the rock on the solid ground and fill in around it or you CUC and other inhabitants will undermine and topple your scape
Why do people feel the need to be negative?
@@Reefingaddiction Why you call it negatif? The Big O has a good point.
Newby reefer here and allso had prewashed sand where i placed the rocks on. Exactly the things The Big O mentioned happened to me, my pistol shrimp loved 1 rock in particular and one day literally not enough sand left underneath it to hold it. My whole rockwork fell down while i was not home for some time (and grandma the temporary feeder would never been able to fix it)...
Thank god no glass cracked, it did touch... I did lost around 500 dollar worth of corals aswell. Sps dont like it when they fall into a euphylia and/or goniopora garden i can tell you😂
Listen to these tips, think about them, and if they make sense, use them 😇 thats the way to move forward in this hobby!
It's not negative and is good advice. Always place at least your base rocks before the sand. It's the safe play. Me, I would have added water, salt, rocks, and then sand. I always use live rock, so you'll want the saltwater in first. I put the live rock in buckets with water to maintain life and transport them to the intended tank.
Hey man, you need to get prepared 1st and do some search before you start recording. What did I learn from you today?
I think that's the point of this series, to showcase what a new reefer is going through and all the questions they might consider.
@Danielohmydang Nah that isn't convincing.
New reefer should always do research before starting on any project.
Don't you love how your negative attitude makes you feel good? SMDH!
Wow thats too much sand they used to do deep sand beds back in the day than nitrates skyrocketed and is why it is not done any more it trapped in all the shit literally
🤔
It seems that Mark was not much of help. It seems he did not want to help, unless his getting paid. Just my perception 😮
he never does , i think there is some sort of obligation that he gets called every episode. (a guess)
Why oh why is Jimmy wearing a Neptune t-shirt advertising a sister company of Saltwateraquariums biggest competitor? Does not seem like a wise choice.
Your Doing good, I just think Mr. Saltwater should help you more and guide you more not to leave you hanging so much.... Just saying
This is a waste of a person's time watching!
