A steward told them that "God himself couldn't sink" the Titanic - but on that April night, the family became three out of the over 700 people to reach the lifeboats: all together!
In today's special episode of the Social Wave Project (and part of Titanic: Titan of the Sea), I will be interviewing Professor Julie Hedgepeth Williams, the great-niece of Albert Caldwell.
In our interview, Julie shares Albert, Syliva and Alden's incredible stories and the many speculations of the disaster, including a rumoured testimony that involved Albert from Lifeboat Number 13.
It was an absolute pleasure interviewing Julie and honestly, our interview was fun and it did cheer me up even though I was feeling unwell that day.

Another thing I find strange is, why the clerk in London say to Mr. Caldwell that it was full? It was the calmer periods, Titanic was not even booked half full.... did that many Second Class passengers cancel their cabin reservations?

It's kinda confusing how the Caldwells ended up on the Third Class staircase for Sylvia to then be hoisted up with a rope ladder. Why didn't they just go by the regular Second Class staircase, since that was right through the door of B-Deck 2nd class promenade, as that's where they were waiting at this enclosed space?
