I really love Dimas, and his band. You know from the voice quality, the quality of the equipment, and the fantastic studio that they take their music very seriously, and they should. Because they are fantastic. I understand what you mean when you say that his voice is smooth, but he injects a lot of grit, and uses his voice to create an edgy sound, but at the same time it is really easy to listen to, unlike some artists where, after listening to a song or two, I just feel tired.

If you have not heard it yet, his cover of Bed of Roses is spectacular. I first thought that he was having to push a bit too much on the highest notes in that song, but I then listened to the original artist, and that same gritty reach for the high notes was right there. I am 57 years old, and Dimas voice immediately reminded me of classic rock from my high school days, but I can not put any specific name to that familiarity.
