- This may be the last days of the massive solar storm that caused the Northern Lights. As it makes its way to the rim of the sun, now we can see how far the storm was rising compared to the size of Earth.
This is the equipment I used:
Telescope:
Explore Scientific AR102
Camera:
ZWO ASI174MM
Energy Rejection Filter:
Astronomik L3 UV/IR Filter
Solar Filter:
DayStar Quark
Mount:
Celestron AVX

Wtf the actual size of the sun is mind blowing
Check out some of the biggest stars we've discovered. Makes our sun look like the earth. Even Beetlejuice dwarfs our own sun. We're very tiny in comparison for sure.
that is true, but compared to other stars, the sun is just a tiny little spec of dirt
Look up Stephenson and uy scuti.. they are the mass off thousands of our suns.. look at how big Jupiter is compared to earth then scale how many jupiters can fit into the sun.. we are on a tiny dot a small spec in a universe your mind can not even comprehend
Look up TON 618
Crazy thing is, then you think about a Neutron star, that can be as the size of a city, but twice as heavy then our sun!
I have no ability to imagine a flare that is 50,000mi long. It's too big...and our sun is small? I can't even grasp the magnitude.
Interstellar be like a lot of stars and blackholes and whiteholes😂
Use the metric system
Infinity is an illusion. We have no conception of orders of magnitude this reality we are helplessly trapped in. But there is one thing clear is that we are divided. And we must achieve unity to advance our proverbial existence and reach then next step. Sentience seeks purpose. It is a fact of this universe. We must awaken it.
The Northern light show was so amazing it made up for the cloudy day eclipse.
Thanks Chuck.
... Солнце.... какая красота...и так близко!!! Живое существо, Звезда!!
Amazing!!
Sun is hot 🔥🌞🎉😊⭐🎵 You make me awake in the morning, I like your heat in the summer. Good night and sweet dreams From Sayeeda 😄🎉🎵🌞⭐
So big. So inconcievably big. I just love space.
I agree 💯💯💯 I'm completely enamored with it too
Und dann wieder winzig im Vergleich zu anderen Sonnen.
Am Grunde des Kelchs der Wissenschaft wird wohl doch Gott warten. 😅
space is cool..❤. I can't imagine what the Kingdom of God will look like in comparison !!! God bless you
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved 💙 Romans 10:13
Rapture is soon
Mind blowing ain't it! What's crazy is that there are starts out there WAY WAY bigger than our sun!!
You love the universe ✨️ well I hope you never have to encounter any of the creatures that are out there 👽🐲🦎 the Reptilians well about them !!!!
Nice picture work! Keep'em coming. 🌞
Thank you! Cheers!
It looks like electricity imagine if we could used it like a outlet charging station
We can...
@@lotstodowe can't
@@VitalEwe I mean Solar Power. It's already being used.
Except in movies list thor infinity war the star that has been blocked that used as a power source for smelting hardest material "nothing can withstand the force of the star" the last word of the giant ahhh moment😂
@@VitalEweyes we can Dyson shepres have been found by nasa just do your research 🔬 We just don’t have the technology but isn’t impossible to harness the power of your star it’ll take a super structure we don’t have the means to make at the time
Great shot, Chuck! Nice size comparison. 😊
I wish I had ha filter too. I also captured it but you have way better ❤. Nice work chuck. You're my inspiration
Thanks for watching
Never i could have imagined that comparation ☀️ 🌎
Look at the speed of those flares!! Imagine seeing that wizzing past us if the earth was that close to the sun!! Space is mine blowing 🤯🤯
This is a sped-up video of it. I think this was over the span of a few hours. However, even that is still incredibly fast when you think about the fact that it's still going up to 112,000 mph - about 6.4 times as fast as the Space Station in orbit.
You have a beautiful smile 😊
Keep it up ❤
Thanks 🔥
So AMAZING 😍☀️

I love that this small planet (earth) is a unit of measure to understand the gigantism of space.
I’m glad I found this channel!
Crazy
The lights were beautiful btw
That's actually well put and easily understood.
I wish I could explore space! So many questions! ❤ Love ❤️ This! Thank you!
oh your going to blooooow up man. good luck
Wow! Another great job! Chuck.
Really like the color. And the detail of the prominces. I bought the Ar102
About 5 months ago but dont have the daystar combo yet. Few other priorities first. How many times is the speed of the video? 😊
Thanks! This spans 2 hours of solar activity sped up to around 7.1 seconds. I captured 158 15-second videos and 20-second delays in between.
@@ChucksAstrophotography thanks!
It's been so beautiful to behold.

Dang thats huge
That's what she said

Crazy to comprehend how our magnetic field fends off solar flares.
Oh this is amazing ❤❤❤
Play keep ss alive two Searere please that’s kiss alive two
What’s actually insane is that our sun is super small in comparison of the other ones we’ve discovered.
Amazing footage
My boy got that Prometheus break down music
This is how it works. The suns surface is liquid and in constant motion. The sun has millions of magnetic poles that move on the surface and because of that movement the little magnetic fields created, constantly pop. That pop is that heat wave that is then sent to earth. When these get to big, they end up being solar flares and they can be dangerous to earth.
I see what parris is saying that releasing great games will help Xbox but what I been saying is that they have done that, as you mentioned ray ray starfield, where they pretend it’s a failure while asking for it to be released on PlayStation and when they have that amazing showcase we still have the media as KT said telling the consumer to not buy the product.
i was so scared i thought it meant the sun would be cooked.
Wow nice decor I noticed your scopes mod in the last video your tribal sun I'm amber
Yup! There's Jesus walking on the sun again!
But the long jets are still negligible compared to an AU which covers 12 millions of Earths.

That is just for the best. We don't need an another Carrington Event that would send us back to ancient medieval times with dark age 2.0 where wars on daily basis are far worse than WWII and people are dying in hunger and poor conditions
I went to the Sun
to quell her rage
I asked her for peace
as she was losing patience
just a little more time
that we may learn
a conciseness
lest we burn.
How do you even calculate how big that flare is, the footage is awesome btw
Earth: hoi Mars
Mars: Ano?
Earth: Pautang!
Mars: bakit saan ka naman popunta?
Earth: to the moon, sker sker joom joom!
😅
Mars: mga mata namumula, san yung baril titirahin kita. Puro ka utang, kahit pang juice pinapalista mo pa!
Can you capture some of the satellites 🛰 ..??
I don't think you can take pictures of satellites due to their fast orbit
@@goose2719You can capture the ISS whenever it is passing in front of the Moon, you need a high frame rate camera to see it though.
I have a 6SE telescope with a solar filter and I was able to see the enormous sunspots on it that were causing the CME.
I'm guessing that plasma being pulled back into the sun is where the outward flare is trying to escape the gravity but can't & so it's being sucked back in or it's just nuts there & it's one big party.
This is so interesting and yes the sun is little bigger then earth 😂
If you get close enough you will get the best suntan ever
Gotta respect parris for showing up. I ain’t go no beef with bro of course but I do disagree with a few of his takes
if Nasa wants to go to the sun, make sure they go during at night......
Is this what’s made the sun loose the yellow look? It’s a different looking sun this year.
All that energy escaped the sun but since the gravity is so strong it prevents most of it from really not going to far. I mean look how many earths far it got compared to the millions of miles away we are. Space is big haha
That is wild.
Imagine a bigger solar storm ,we will burn alive
Remember people we just guest in this universe
What is Blud yapping about
Subbed 👍🏼👈🏼
Out side our understanding on scale. GOD is incredible.
😂
Earth is a pimple in comparison 😂✌🏼
Nice for the connection of
sunstorms to the northernlights ,

When trying to get my head around just how big the sun is and the solar system and planets 🪐
And the size of objects and the force they cause
I often think back to the first
Men in black
At the end of the film
Where there is a whole galaxy in the size of a marble that I’ve been round the cats collar!
The day you’ll be able to see the seven sisters or the Pleiades let me know, please!
we are still in the solar maximum so we might get more this year
Imagine how big titan is
Wow .😮
Do you STILL think that we tiny little humans can "conquer the universe" ?
A wisp of that, and the earth would be scorched to dust.
Wow, truly phenomenal, isn't ❤
Nice sun
Hey Chuck I got a quick question as a new astronomer I was wondering how to make my telescope move with what I want to see i heard about stacking and stuff but how do I make my telescope follow my target?
Nppmfgf g 2 e f fnf
Norther lights will always be in our ozone...
How fast those flames move and they are thousands of miles long even thousands of miles wide tens of thousands of miles longing mere milliseconds
I finnaly found you again
Why doesn't "science" ever mention the effects of solar storms have on climate change? I mean, an injection of solar energy HAS to have an impact.
It's a good point you bring up there. Solar storms, also known as geomagnetic storms, do release bursts of energy towards Earth, primarily in the form of charged particles. However, these events are short-lived and the energy they impart is relatively small compared to the overall energy balance of Earth's climate system.Global warming is primarily driven by the accumulation of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which trap heat over long periods. While solar activity can influence Earth's climate on shorter timescales, its impact is minor compared to the persistent effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
nah it doesn’t
@@riri_rmrz considering that atmospheric science is an evolving discipline and not one scientist on earth can nor would make your assertion. Your reply is as daft as one could possibly make. keep up the good work! .
Last days? As in, no more Aurora? Seriously?
They lied to us about the size of the sun so chill
Oh I don't think so, you haven't. Seen a real storm just yet wait ......
O arco magnético tem 76000Km de altura e o plasma faz este percurso em um segundo, a visão humana jamais captaria este movimento.
Earth will get cooked with just one whip of plasma..
You’re zooming into 93 million miles away! Yeah ok?????????
Doesn’t even make sense. Wow!
You can look at the sun any day (although not advisable) and with correct glasses be able to see the shape of it. The video clearly shows curvature in the sun, indicating it is not that up close at all..
And it’s still pissing rain in Ireland……. Ahhhh bliss 😂
We have 12 more years of our Sun at solar maximum. Don’t celebrate too early
Woah cool!
Ok what's that black looking thing with arms of a octopus sucking up the Suns plasma
Hey, I have a diagnosis for you: schizophrenia.
How about the one happening in 2025
Is it really happening?

What scope are you using for these?
hello, what kind of telescope do you use and what solar filters can you see the solar flares? Thank you.
You can fit 1.2 million earth in the sun

If u belive or not belive sun will be destroy everthings. Its will be happen.😊
Wait is this why it is so hot right now ?
*"LAST DAYS"* you have no idea...😅
Scary
Makes sense
You are obviously far more of a fan than I am of the obscure, the unseen and of the true secrets of our solar system, galaxy and universe. So what are your thoughts or guesses on and about the next great solar flare that will affect each and every human being on earth along with our electrical grid reliance? I hope to get a reply from you sometime soon. I understand that you're more than likely very busy.
