The Psych rock scene only hit the US in around 2010 with bands like Black Angels and Brian Jonestown Massacre. Shows you how far ahead of the curve Aussie surf bands were
To me, this is one of the best songs to ever come out of Oz. I spent much of my misspent youth seeing The Stems play. They fucking rocked! Dom Mariani is a god! : )
Ahh "the cat and fiddle ' fond memories late nights early mornings and angst. ..and who remembers the Flavours another great act who supported silent type .....
The bass and organ riff is legendary! I first heard this song in 1997 when it was covered by Brisbane all-girl garage rock band The Genies at The Orient Hotel. Lead singer Vickie Watson is now in a very promising rock trio Some Jerks.
Classic track...great to hear it again. Similarities to 'Stepping Stone;...Fab.
Gooooooo Aussie psych rock ❤❤❤❤❤
A ripper act ❤❤❤❤
Still so good!
This still kills.
I went to see Tumbleweed play in North bridge, Perth and they finished with Tears me in two.
