Jef you are awesome. I'm not gonna lie, I had a pretty rough day, and your enthusiasm and spirit about this synth (it's wonderful isn't it?) just made my day better. You rock my man! Thanks for all your hard work you do to bring us these awesome vids.
Love Pigments - It's not the most powerful 'do everything' synth I have (that would be Falcon 2), but it's the one I enjoy using the most and that counts for a lot.
Nice little sketch. That M1 seems to be doing work even without the optimization . I’d able to maybe use two or three instances of pigments at most and ht my cpu ceiling. One reason pigments doesn’t get much use on my machine. I love the sound and capabilities but just don’t have the headroom. I did download the upgrade but haven’t even had any time to go through some of the new patches and additions. As always thanks for demoing this and for all of your hard work on your channel.
Always excited when I see another Prof G video drop! Pigments looks really powerful. I don’t own it but your deep dives are so clear and well put together I always learn something new that can apply to most synths. I would so love to see you do something similar for omnisphere and maybe VPS Avenger 🙂
Jeff, thanks for the vid. After mircofreak, they did it for Pigments. See at 07:00, the frenchies are really crazy. Regardez 07:00, Arturia, ils sont fou(s), ces frenchies, n'est-ce pas ! Very good news before X'MAS. Greetings
I have a fully upgraded 2015 Mac book Pro I use around the house so my M1 Max is totally stationary in my studio.I haven't heard or given my M1 a single thought after installing my software.I forget it's in the room. & Pigments is just next level !
Jef, I often find myself checking out yr tutorials. As a senior musician 'getting it all over again' I just love yr stuff. (Began with Atari 1040ST, remember?) As for now Im learning the Maschine, so thanx a lot. /Beninchen:-)
Another great video Jeff. Just bought Pigments on Black Friday but haven't installed it yet (upgrading my computer). Can't wait to play with it. For those who haven't checked out Jeff's Chats and Beats with Sanjay C, go, go check it out now!!! It's a really great video!!
Pigments is a powerful synth. I haven’t gotten Omnisphere yet, but between MassiveX and Pigments these are very inspiring. A couple of questions. 1. Where did you get the stands for Maschine and your Push2 ? 2. Do you have any videos using Ableton/Push2??
I’m the same, also got Equator from Roli and feel like I have a everything covered with these 3 synths! Looked at Omnisphere but don’t feel it’s adding anything else
I'm a fan of your setup, that keyboard at the bottom of your desk (a desk looks custom made), that giant screen, those robots. I don't see a single cable.
how were you able to get the ENERGY TRIAD BUNDLE to show up in pigments? I can't seem to figure it out. ( I just bought pigments like a hour ago). I got them all installed.. I just can't seem to find them.
Love your channel as always!! Are you using Core Audio as your Driver/sound engine? I don't have a new Mac yet. I use mine (8Gbs RAM) and I hear crackling on some sounds. A friend told me to use Focusrite product and use that as my Driver/Sound engine. The crackling sound is why I haven't purchased Keyscape and Omnisphere yet. (or if I load too many Groups in MK3). Would the Focus right engine fix that crackle?
Not too familiar with Mac but you could try increasing your buffer size in your audio settings. You'll have more latency, but it will reduce CPU load which should eliminate cracks/pops
@@TeckSpark thanks. I do a number of things live, Especially for church or events, so I need something without audible latency issues. I have a MacBook Air. It’s powerful, but some sounds I can’t use cause as I play complex chords with sustain, things start out nice, then I start hearing cackles, etc… just wanted to know if the Focusrite Scarlet or even the NI interfaces will fix that if I use their audio as the sound engine/driver. Before I buy
Has the upgrade improved NKS compatibility for the additional preset packs? From memory, purchased preset packs don’t show if browsing via Maschine (or certainly didn’t).
@@АлександрДевятьяров-е7ю I know that both are different but I simply don't know which one to choose. Pigments is more modern and cheaper but I have plugins like this such as Massive X. How many vsts can you have before you hit the cpu ceiling? I only ask because I’m a fellow Cubase user and as we both know Cubase uses the cpu and gpu. I can barely have 3 instances of omnisphere before it goes haywire 🤣
i appreciate what pigments is, but it just sounds plastic to my ears and soul. i bought it last year, but don't use it. it'd be great for someone interested in copying tyco or whatever new age progressive electronic artist is seeking in sounds. i personally find it big on ear candy, but how many productions do you have to hear with all this fake plastic bells and over dramatic filtering. too many non talented artists equipped with synths like these. blah blah blah.
Great video and even greater t-shirt !!!
Thanks Michael! Been waiting to pull this one out ;)

Hey! I wasn't having a great day today, and your comment cheered me up! Thanks for sharing!
Love the visual feedback in Pigments! Definitely makes tweaking everything more approachable.
I was purchased V8, Fx collection v2 and Pigments. Arturia is really on fire! Pigments is amazing synth! Thanks for this video! Enjoying

Great vid Jef! There are so many good virtual synths to choose from out there - your insights into Pigments really helps 👍
There’s a ton to choose from! Thanks Jeffy!

Yeah, loving my M1 so far!
Been there since pigments came out and I believe in arturia's vsts and use them everyday ....arp 2600 and pigments are my most used.
Thank you!!!

Very CPU intensive now and just lots more sounds of zero use in music production.
Can anyone else confirm that it's more CPU intensive now?
Nice
Gonna get this free update so. 🙏🔥⭐️

this 3.5 patches reminding me always on the influence of Arturia Microfreak.
Lovely
Sample folders and previews? Damn!

Does it load multi-samples? sfz- import ?
Is it worth spending the 💰 for this if I am happy with Vital?
Just 👍 👌
Is pigments 4 better than massive X?

WHat is that gorgeous all white keyboard :) ?
That's the limited edition Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2! But they sold out I think :(

What do you think, Jef? Should I buy Pigments now or wait for the sale of Arturia V Collection 8? Which one would you recommend more?

i gotta say , this is the first video I watched this morning, and the first sounds were all distortion not a huge fan .
