How I dread the screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech intro to all the CBSRMT episodes. I don't know why it has to sound like that online, it had to have been a completely different, exciting and enjoyable noise originally on the radio. I love the show, though, and the sound of the show itself in THIS episode, for instance, is wonderful. The Inner Sanctum has a screech intro (supposedly not a door to an inner sanctum but a squeaky office chair that was protected from discard or damage as if it were the star) that is inexplicably awful to hear on my computer, about a tenth as fingernails-on-a-chalkboard awful as CBSRMT, and still just about unbearable.

That is indeed, a squeaky chair. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about your sensiivity to the sound!
